Anoka

Anoka is a very skilled and very fast team that will improve over the year. I do agree, however, that they're way over hyped. In my opinion Blaine is the team to beat in this section, with Armstrong as 2nd and Anoka as 3rd. I do believe Blaine could lose this one to either of those teams.

How come no one shows any respect to Coon Rapids?

This group of kids is the same group that made the state tournament as A peewees and A bantams. I understand that respect is earned by winning and CR hasn't done too much of that lately, so I'm probably answering my own question, but I guess just watch for them to suprise some people this year.

They have plenty of scoring up front. Their defensemen are all returning varsity players except for one and their goalie is in his 3rd year as a varsity starter.

What does everyone else think?

coon rapids lost vargas who helped them reached state and that has hurt them. they lost to a weak JM team this year. They had trouble with a lowly Irondale team. Yes the CR offense is potent with Ellena, Ghizoni, Randall, Veirling, Svieven, and Mankey. But the only defense who stands out is Kraabel. Wenlund struggles sometimes and Greb is even shakier. Offense and Kraabel is all CR has.
