Duluth East VS Moorhead Dec. 16th

Post by quickgym guy »

With the Hounds Trachsel out. ( 5 for fighting ). I think the spuds should be able to take this one. East is still a much better team than GR though.
If Leis has a good game it could really get interesting.

Spuds - 3

Hounds - 2

Any thoughts :?: :?:

5-2 Moorehead. I wasn't impressed by Moorehead goalie against GR-gave up two pretty soft goals behind they net. Maybe looking ahead to tonight though because he has played very solid most of the year!

I'm gonna take East in this one. They will win 4-2 with an empty netter.

Is there anyone availible to provide us updates of tonights game. Should be a real good one.

Both teams were young last year and looked to be much better this season. It should be a great opportunity to see if the Spuds deserve the Number 1 ranking.

I hate to say it, but FSN should have stayed up there and did tonights game as well. I'd rather perfer Hs to the Wild-thoughts?

Moorhead played their worst game of the year last night....Moorhead will rebound from it and this game will be worse than the GR game. All I have to say is East look out...The train doesn't stop for anybody....6-2 Moorhead

I would venture that the first team to score 3 goals will win this game.

Ya guess it was close with Moorheads empty netter sealed it with defense Trachsel out AND Forward max tardy out from fighting at the end of the cloquet game moorhead was able to get into easts zone more and put more shots on net thats a downer it would have been a different game with those two in oh well thats hockey 2-0 final

Agreed. But last night woulda been different with White, Welliver and Cone in the lineup...and they are injured, not suspended.

We don't know if it would have been that different. Moorhead just completed an impressive week of hockey that is sure to  across the state. As of this point I think people need to recognize that Moorhead is the best team in the state. Things change quickly though...

True...... so Moorhead got lucky with both GR and East not having key players in the game Moorhead could of had back to back losses if it were not for the boys that did not play[/quote]

Moorhead is a dang good team and they deserve to be #1. But I think if GR is healthy it's a 50-50 game.

After tonights game I have lost all respect for Jordy Christian. For those of you that didn't see, I being in the student section had a great view, with 54 seconds left in the third peiord Coach Morinville pulled Christian-Theilen-Ambrosie off the ice because of a lack luster performance when East pulled their goalie. As the rest of his linemates left the ice and the Deitz-Ambrosi-Nitzy line entered the ice Jordy proceeded to yell at the Coach telling him that he was staying on the ice...when he was still instructed to get off the ice and the puck neeeded to be dropped Jordy proceeded to kick one of his own players off the ice so he could stay on. Now I ask this...If you are the leader on your team and your coach feels that your line needs to get off do you listen to your coach and let your teammates that you trust do their job or do you disobey and embarrass one of your teammates and friends infront of 3,000 people? Morinville needs to step up and discipline Jordy after that! He is supposed to be the leader of this team, when the coach says something you listen...This isn't Jordy Christian's team this is Dave Morinville's team!

i personally think that Jordy's Ego has gotten the best of him, you know when your considered one of the best forwards in the state, and dont get me wrong Jordy is an awesome hockey play, your gonna have that ego and i think Jordy has that ego right now.
