What's the deal with MV? Should they be in the top 20?
They've taken down Stillwater, White Bear, Roseville(twice), Osseo and have had tough 1 and 2 goal losses to other big teams like Tartan.

Ok, well, I think it's fair to say 90% of these polls/topics or whatever are about A bantams. And you have to be an idiot to not know who MV is. Moundsview? Are you kidding me? And WB and Stillwater arn't good teams?

Ok Curt, so its obvious you from MV, or like them or maybe even play for them. BUT, a way to get them noticed would be to jsut keep on beatin some good teams, not just posting about them constantly here on the forum. Also, you make it seem like they are godlike or something. Dont get me wrong, a very good team, but Stillwater and White Bear also may have played a bad game AND im pretty sure they got beat by wb like 5-2 earlier or something. Also, you said 1 or 2 goal losses to teams like tartan, but honestly people wont pay that much attention unless they have actually BEATEN a top team. No rippin on any team or anyone here, just simply pointing out some things.
OK, OK, I see where you are coming from. And by the way, I am not from MV, I am from Cottage Grove, like I said in a previous comment. But personally, I havn't gestured towards them being godlike at all. I said they have moved the puck well and played physical. Also, I think a big reason they lost to WB the first game was because the day before that game, they losted their top forward, Mark Alt. He is currently playing CDH first line JV and has been playing the last few games at Varsity getting some quality playing time. I think that was a real confidence-downer. But they got over it and have been playing well, not godlike. And i never said I didn't like MV, I just don't think they get enough credit. OK, so they havn't gotten the big wins over Tartan, but I think it may be different the next time they go head-to-head. But not godlike, definetly, I am still not sure if they have enough to be in the top 20.

Yes, yes, i am sorry for the misunderstanding because you honestly havent mentioned anything that its leaning towards them being godlike. sorry. Also, I could see the loss of Mark Alt the day before that game could be a effect, especially because he was there best forward. Also, congrats to Mark to be doing so well at CDH and playing on varsity. Wow that is quite an accomplishment. I'm also sorry for the mistake of assuming you were from MV. And definitely on the Tartan game, it should be alot different this time around. And as for the top 20, most definitely, most definitely. They are certainly a team good enough to be in the top 20 and probably top 15 also. Once again, sorry for some of the misunderstandings earlier and i wish MV good luck the rest of the season.

Since I'm from the metro, I'm not familar with the hick towns. When Moundsview beats a d6 team, then I might consider some respect for them. By the way, 90% is 40% too high about ratios of threads. The biggest thread is the bantam b1 thread. Usually when someone doesn't specify what lever others consider him the idiot

gentleman it seems sometimes u seem to rip on certain threads and teams. MV is not a hick town what so ever and although I'm not a mv fan or have never been someone to follow them or like them, they are a good team and d6 isnt THAT great. This year they have EP, Jefferson and Edina. Also, Edina isnt nearly a powerhouse like last year and can be beaten easily. I'm a fan of D2 somewhat because that is what i watch most and they have four great teams in stillwater, WBL, MV, and Tartan and those teams can all compete or play at the level of the teams in D6. D6 isn't the god of hockey districts, so dont act like they are. Also, MV has beaten WB, Stillwater and some other respectable teams. so why hate? just because u dont know much about them doesnt mean they suck. wow. and no, i am NOT from mv or have anything to do with them what so ever.

OK hockyislife, it seems you have some very strong opinions and have been jumping to a few conclusions. I think ilikehockey777 will agree with me(and no, we are not going to make out). You are rediculous! We're just talking about some very good hockey teams that we seem to pay some attention to. So just lay off, OK? And what is that -quote- real hockey -unquote- you seem to be talking about? I think MV is real hockey, they play well, and same with WBL and Tartan. They are teams that I believe can compete with the top teams. Yeah, you're crazy, if I don't say so myself...

Oh, by the way, I was just given an update of the MV-NSP game. It's after the 2nd, and MV leads 6-0 at Polar Arena. Not to give MV extra credit, that's how what the score should be, but it's just an update...

HOCKEYFORLIFE i think if you dont like the topic that they where discussing you should just keep your uninteligent opinion out of what they were talking about. I will say that Wolter may be the most daminate player in the district. The other captain is a work horse. To say thats the reason for the success of MV would be selling that team short. It helps MV to have those two players but it takes more than just those two players to get MV up at the top of D2 and according to there website a 17-4 record.
