It would be nice having him at White Bear! He seemed to have done a good job when he used to coach White Bear's bantams as well.Neutron 14 wrote:I KNOW a cetain CDH assistant would love "coming home".

Nice win for Hill as it's always nice to beat the Bears. I gotta believe Lech will have the boys working on that powerplay just a tad. Having Westerhaus back helped solidify the lines today.
Quick question to WB people. A couple of weeks ago I grabbed a Let's Play Hockey and noticed that there wasn't a WB team in the top 20 in the Bantam A's. Was this a misprint or is WB down at that level this year?

Why do you think Holy Angels' cheerleaders are all so hot? They can even spell with their pom poms.BIAFP wrote:So it is not just the players that get recruited to the private schools? Coaches too, what's next cheerleaders?Neutron 14 wrote:I KNOW a cetain CDH assistant would love "coming home".
It'll be a real conundrum for the MSHSL when they start recruiting Zamboni drivers.

I won't blame the referees, dumb penalties, recruiting, or Lechners's ugly sweaters. I will say Hill Murray is the most overated team in the state. I agree their defense is average at best.eastsidepride wrote:Hill doesn't have any D players capable of captaining the power play and it's killing them against good teams. They need to move Larson back to the point on their power play like they did earlier in the season.

The only shot they had at "the coach" is when WB hired Butters. WB's teachers contract states that they must hire a teacher if he's qualified. I think most Cities teachers contracts have this clause. The school board deemed Sager qualified. When Butters was hired it was after the prior coach resigned/was fired (midseason?) and they were somehow able to insert (non-teacher)Butters.Zeke16 wrote:Seems to me Da Bears had plenty of chance to keep "the coach". Funny how when someone does well they were all of sudden "recruited".
HM - WBL
White Bear should be happy about losing to Hill-Murray today and going 0-2 against them in the regular season. History says this means they will go to the State Tournament. Of course they will lose there in the first round.
For the record: HM is now 41-20-1 all time against WBL and has won 6 of the last 7. WBL will have to go on a 21 game win streak to catch up.

It seems that WB is down in most levels of play and in numbers for the older kids.Quick question to WB people. A couple of weeks ago I grabbed a Let's Play Hockey and noticed that there wasn't a WB team in the top 20 in the Bantam A's. Was this a misprint or is WB down at that level this year?

And Peewees
Even though Hill has no Bantam team, we recruit them from WBL just out of spite!
