The Holiday Tournaments are over and they have really only proven one thing, that besides EP, anyone can get beat by anyone. I feel pretty confident in the top 8 teams on my rankings they all deserve to be somewhere in this mix. There are 3 tiers of bantam programs this year. EP, the next 7; DE, Centennial, Jefferson etc….. And then there is everyone else.

1. EP – slam dunk #1
2. Duluth East – Wins Edina Tourney
3. Centennial – 2nd place finish at Edina, good battle with DE, Goalie Issues?
4. Jefferson – Split with Andover, wins their own tourney
5. Andover – playing good hockey wins over Brainerd and Jefferson, loss to Hermantown
6. Brainerd – Lost to Andover and Beat Hermantown
7. Tartan – Undefeated in District 2
8. Wayzata – did not make it out of pool play at Edina
9. Elk River –
10. Mounds view –
11. Osseo – Loss to Maple Grove and Andover
12. Edina – Just an average team
13. Chaska – takes third at Edina
14. Rochester North – played well at Edina
15. Woodbury – lots of size, good be real problem for most teams
16. Eagan – played pretty well in Jefferson Tourney
17. White Bear Lake – not even a win at Edina
18. Blaine – not great in Edina
19. Hermantown – Win over Andover gets them back on the chart
20. Lakeville South – Doing well in District 8

Outside looking in: Can these teams make a move before Playoffs
Stillwater –
Maple Grove –
East Grand
St. Cloud –
Bemidji
Grand Rapids –
Apple Valley

I think this is a solid list except for Centennial. They really didnt impress me at the EP tournament a while ago, getting fourth to Jefferson 4-1. Have they improved lately?

Chuck, you have Brainerd ranked #6. The other rankings don't even have them in the top 10. Why do you think they deserve that spot?

They lost to #2 Duluth East 3-1 (I think)
They lost to #4 Jefferson 4-3
They lost to #12 Osseo 6-5

They beat Hermantown handely.
