BSM
BSM was impressive last night.
The Carew, Estoclet and Applehof line was unstoppable.
Tonka has their work cut out for a top 2 seed in Section 6 with 2 games against the Hornets and 1 against the Eagles.
Current Section 6 rankings:
1) Edina
2) BSM
3) Tonka
4) EP
5) Chaska
6) Jefferson
7) Hopkins

Re: Tonka/BSM
There is a good answer for that. It's called defense.Badger07 wrote:I heard the coaches almost got in a fight after the second period because Ken Pauly of Tonka felt BSM was purposely running the score up on them

Curious, I thought the point of hockey was the score more goals than the other team. If you win by 7, how can you be accused of running up the score?
Sure if Holy Angels won against a conference opponent by 25, which they may be able to, that wouldn't be good. Two tops in AA (#9 and #17 on last week's PS2) playing and one of them winning by 7, that's not running up the score at all.
The other day an NHL team beat another something like 10-4. The coach of the losing team probably wasn't trying to start a fight, they were probably embarrassed and now need to work on some stuff. That's how it works.

Tonka/BSM
It was good to see the Red Knights come out and put the puck in the net last night. When they get on a roll there are very few teams that they can't beat.
I was at the game last night. The conflict between the coaches took place after the first period. As the score was 3-2 I highly doubt that Pauly was ticked about the score being run up. Sounds like b.s. to me.
