The Varsity game is @ 12:00
Jv game is @ 2:00

There is a UMD women's game in the DECC at 3:00, that's why JV plays after in Pioneer.

the Duluth radio is playing it on section 7 website... Century 1 Duluth East 1 at the end of 1. Grimsted scored for century and I forgot who scored for DE. Josh Borgman is playing for Century by the way.

I don't think Century played bad.
I think Duluth East is better.

Century has a nice first line, good D; however why people think Leis
would give up 5 goals to them is beyond belief. I wish people who
poll, predict scores would actually do so only after seeing both teams at least once. Then you wouldn't act surprised when one team
loses and you think they shouldn't have won or played poorly. Credit
to the Hounds, they are a better team, not just today.

Shots on goal were 30 apiece. Goaltending was the difference. Leis made a couple of nice saves and Borgmann let in a couple of soft ones. Otherwise I think it was a fairly even game.

I have to admit I have not seen Leis play, but he must be good because people rave about him all the time. Century's main weakness is between the pipes and it sounds like it showed in this one.

I am curious if any of the people watching Century for the first time were impressed with their top two lines?
I also think they have four solid defensemen and they play consistently.

No they played about the same its that East put it in the net and Century did not. East had 4 back to back penilites in the third so century had 8 minutes with a man advantage and could not score thats bad.....

Century

look at the big picture with this team. They have won one game outside their league. A 3-2 win over Fargo So at home. They have one line. Their top forwards i think have 8g, 3g, 8g and 9g and remember that is playing in section 1aa. Not sure who the consistent D men are. There game against Edina will be interesting.

Offside - That is true about their wins, but they have had some injuries as well. In fact they were missing two of their best players when they played Roseville.

They still have Edina, Rosemount, and Duluth Marshall on their schedule so it will be interesting to see how they fair in those games.

A great team could play competitively through the loss of their top player or players. You see that happen all the time. What team doesn't have key players with injuries? I thought Century had so much depth at forward?

SS is right. Playing outside of the big nine is going to be rough even if it is a class A school.

Leis is a big kid, who can stop alot of pucks. He keeps his boys in alot
of games.....has for the past 2 years. We will sure miss him when he
graduates....That's why I can't figure out why people always predict
East is going to give up 4 or 5 goals...not on Ben.

Because he's given up 4 or 5 goals in 3 out of 11 games this year, it doesn't mean he's not a good goalie, but it's not like he hasn't given up that many goals.

goldy, you are right on with giving up 4 goals three times this year,
but NOT 5.....! I'm sure the D played a factor in those games....

GR without Patrick White is a different team. CDH without Hickey is a different team. Century without Knoepke and Grimstad is a different team. I am especially impressed with Knoepke because he is more physical and works harder.

I hope no one who is saying the big nine is bad is from the lake conference!!! Apple Valley, Rosemount, Burnsville, Kennedy, Lakeville, Chaska, Eagan, Eastview??? All average at best with Jefferson and Eden Prairie being a little above average.
