He most likely won't be back. With how poorly the university handled his situation, and with him being academically ineligible for this year, I would guess he has moved on completely from the U.

Russell apparently is entering the draft. I can't imagine he would be more than a late-round flier for some team, but it's interesting to see what kind of value he has after a year off, I didn't see him as a high pick even if he were still playing for the U this past year.

Why would anybody draft him after sitting out a year and obviously not being very bright. Ok football players aren't known for their intellect but they have to have a light or two on upstairs. He played 1-2 years of college ball and was never a starter. Maroney and Barber III were always ahead of him. Granted that's very good company to keep but still.

On second thought (I know it is two minutes or whatever later) The Lions maybe sick of WR in the first round and take him. Sid Hartman will want the Vikes to take him in the 4-5th round because of his Minnesota connection. They will probably take him in the 4th and be surprised he was still there and their "we had him projected in the 2nd round. He was very high on our board. We like his upside." CRAP! #-o ](*,)
