The Warriors and their fans can better spend their time this evening curled up with a good book(certainly a dog like "Northern Heat") than tangling with the Rams. Roseau will handle them in this tilt 5-2 with an empty netter. Any chance the Storey boys will wearing the stripes?

Huh, Angus and I agree on something. (The game, not the dog of a book.)

Could be...but the way Bob is struggling to get up and down the ice this season I doubt it....he looks like an old hunting dog....still has the will but not the legs. Funny, I was watching a Bantam game this last weekend in Warroad and Ron was up in the stands going crazy over the job his nephew was doing...Hey Ron, now you know how the rest of us feel. :P

So I wonder if LaPlanta is going to anoint the Rams again this year. Hopefully he'll do the hoo-doo again this year and give the Warriors a chance to win. :P

Billy, Warroad is a shoo in - I took the Rams - and I am never right.

Hey Dickie, it'll be just like you wrote. "To see the 3 Rams make a scoring rush, the bright colors of their jerseys flashing against the milky ice, was to see a thing of beauty." See ya'll @ Izzy's

Not a chance at that one AY as much as it pains me I'll be watching on a Big Screen @ 40 miles south of the cities. Besides I've NEVER been in Izzy's and have no plans to go there. As Salol Hockey used to say "I'd rather die of thirst." :| Talk to Tweeter and Frank, they should be at their perch you may get an invite to West between periods if you don't mention Izzy's. :P

Just testing - I've always wondered why David seems to be the biggest scourge of Warpath, but have heard enough stories to get an idea why. The Nighthawk or Legion would be my choice anyway. Are you still connected enough to say what the buzz has been with former nemises Olson @ the helm of the Warrriors now?

hopefully this is a good game. This is probably the one of the best rivalries. It is fun to be able to watch the games up north on tv when you can rarely see them in the twin cities except for these that are on tv. My prediction Roseau 4-3 with a late 3rd period game winner

I wouldn't put Oly at the helm...he's being treated more like Ensign Wesley Crusher by the other "CO-Coach". :?

History

Post by hipcheck »

If you look close at the statistics from Ram Hockey about the history of the game, very few were more than a two goal differential. A couple of blowouts by both teams. A couple of OT, but most are 1-2 goal games.

Rams 5 Warriors 3

Roseau - 0
Warroad - 1

Mid 1st

Roseau's goalie looked shaky in the first few minutes and seemed to let in a pretty weak goal for Warroad's first goal.

you ppl are crazy with ur 5-6 goal wins.. Who cares about the record, class etc.. This a rivalry game, all that is out the window.. Just like east cec game, if east wast ranked first in the state w 0 losses and cec was 29th with less than a .500% season that wouldnt matter 1 bit.. it will still be a close game , as most rival games are

Videohead in 3 places at the same time....

Post by Stitch Lips »

My guess is that I think Warroad will raise a few eyebrows and take the lead going into the second period.

But what do I know ...? I took that advice from ole Videoscout ... whom I hear is coming back to the board.

Game now tied 1-1, Roseau scores on the powerplay. Warroad took 2 penalties in the last 1:30 of the 1st, Roseau scored within the last 30 sec's of Marvin's penalty.

Warroad just took another penalty, 14:08 left in the 2nd.

Hockey Night USA

Post by Stitch Lips »

I just talked to Videoscout (he's between periods at the St. Cloud Tech/Brainerd game) and he says that it's a heck of a game. Tech is two-men short right now. Josh Peterson just got a penalty for Tech.

Joe Frazer just scored and took a 2-0 lead. PP goal @ 9:25. 7:21 left in 2nd.

Chucky Cheese loves that Frazer kid!!!
