cant wait to see this game on thursday, i remember i think 2 years ago when there was a huge fight after the game @ orono and a bunch of people got arrested and mounds athletic director tried to break it up and got hit in the face hahaha! just shows how much these fans care about their schools and the players of the teams. BIG RIVALRY! GREAT ATMOSPHERE TO BE IN!

Hey Badger I'm still looking for a response to this one of yours:
#1
I never said they said the whole story, I was just providing them to back up a statementStats are one thing but they don't explain everything when it comes to high pressure situations
#2
I never said they were. I can clearly see they are similar. All I commented on was GAAum those S% are not very different.
#3
This one is debatable ... The goalie has to have an impact on the GAA. Becuase if what I am quoting from you is true, then it doesn't matter who is playing goalie ... which we know is false.GAA is a team stat pretty much if you think about it because its how many goals the team lets in when that goalie is in net.

I've played with and watched peterson since we were mites. He steps it up in big games and plays at a completely different level. I've watched him develope and know how he plays. May be a slightly biased opinion, but dont come back and same i'm another orono teammate because i'm not and i dont go to orono.
like i said before, this game could go either way. Everytime they play its an entertaining game, and i dont expect this one to be any different.

Whoa colin I never said you were a teammate. Here is what I did say:but dont come back and same i'm another orono teammate because i'm not and i dont go to orono.
Haha it was even in the form of a question so how could I have said that?Is it possible that it's maybe the opposite; that you like him so much (teammate, friend, fan ... i dont know) that you don't want me posting these [factual] things? Or no
Maybe you weren't commenting to me in your quote because I don't think I was talking about you.

always competitive
I would not say this game is always competitive, Orono has smoked mound by 6 and 7 recently. To bad these teams can't keep there players in their respective schools, Mound should have Matson, Orono should have Estoclet and quite a few other players.

Re: always competitive
Acutally if you would have read the first part of the thread and know anything about these two teams orono won the first game 3-0 in mound. Then in orono, mound came back with three third period goals and one in ot to win 4-3. Also matson has never played for mound he just lives there, but it is in both school districts. He went to school in orono and played all his youth hockey there and was second line center his freshmen year before he moved on to bigger and better thingsGet Some wrote:I would not say this game is always competitive, Orono has smoked mound by 6 and 7 recently. Mound is one of the quickest teams in Class A, I'm not sure how some of you can say Mound will be worn down by Orono. MW went up to Hermantown this weekend and wore down the #1 team in the state, sure it was a loss, but Hermantown looked visably fatigued in the 2nd and 3rd period, while Mound was still running on all jets. It's going to be a fun game to watch, but I think Mound has it's act together finally, and will go on a little streak, starting by beating Orono 4-1 in their own rink.

And playing "some good hockey lately"? They are 1-3-1 last 5 games.
Orono wins this one 5-2.
Yeah a record of 4-8-1 is pretty scary?Mound is VERY underrated. They have had some ups and downs, but they are playing some good hockey lately, and I have seen them when they are playing their best, and it's scary how good they can be.
