He is clearly a "fall away" not only from his Catholicism but also from his once great hockey senses as he now believes games are decided by meaningless statistics such as shots on goal.

Lee was out locking up good threads and puttin others in the Cafe
Slappy called me at lunch time and asked if I was gonna go out to eat
I told him no but youall remember that da Spuds are gonna get beat
And then he said he heard some news this mornin from Maplewood Ridge
If AP doesnt settle down we're gonna throw him off the Wabasha Street Bridge
And Slappy said to Stitch Lips as he talked about being locked out by Lee
"Well AP never had a lick of sense, pass the emoticons please"
"Theres five more posts I gotta make talkin about the cowplow"
And packerboy said it was a shame about AP anyhow
Seems like nothin ever comes to no good up on Maplewood Ridge
And now they wanna throw Ankles Pierre Jr off the Wabasha St Bridge
An hour has come and gone since I heard the news about AP
Slappys off trying to think of a thread that wont get locked up by Lee
There was a virus goin round, bluesbuddy caught it and was banned last Spring
And lately Stitch Lips doesnt seem to wanna do much of anything
And me I spend a lot of time in the Cafe trying to repent
But all the time I am thinkin that I can hardly Wait Until Lent.

I'm new on the board, but this has to be the most entertaining thread I have read on this board. Took me a good chunk of an hour and my ribs are hurting. Just HAD to get this back on the first page...and I can't truly wait until Lent. Once again I will burn my personal days to sit in front to the TV and watch one of the greatest hockey tournaments ever!

Brainstorming all day about what to tell his wife... so that he could sneak out to watch a high school hockey game... finally, AP took a chance on the truth, saying, "You want to go to a Hill-Murray hockey game with me tonight?"
"Yes..." she actually said, to AP's great surprise... "first let me just change my clothes." Then she completely stripped right there in the living room...
