You know what i think is funny...is that people keep coming on these forums and ripping on all of us Orono Boys for overhyping ourselves...if you dont want to hear it...then stop reading...you dont have to read it...just go watch the news or something...your old...we are young...its what we do...
P.S. Peterson played amazing tonight...stopped an unreal break away in the second period...and good coaching by both sides...it was good to see the Mound coach take the initiative to put his player in his place...good call coach...props to you...
Good game to both teams

Good game by both teams. Peterson had some very nice stops.
The "celebration" deal that the Mound kid did was, fluffing his jersy at the Orono fans. The reason that the kid did it was because an Orono kid had done the same thing at the Mond fans after one of the Orono goals. The Mound coach did the right think by barking at his kid, but the Orono coach certainly wasn't barking at his kid after his "celebration".

But with 11 seconds left in the game, the kid just made himself look stupid because Mound had absolutly no chance of any comeback. You are correct though that the Orono kids did it also, but not when they had already lost the game.SHAKEnBAKE wrote:The "celebration" deal that the Mound kid did was, fluffing his jersy at the Orono fans. I find it amusing that players (even if in jest) would continue to hype themselves in any public forum. Although I think that confidence is a very important asset to success, self promotion through words rather than actions is merely arrogance and will eventually lead to ridicule. You don't see to many other teams (certainly not the successful one's) using this forum for self promotion, but I guess "like coach, like players".Stiches3507 wrote:You know what i think is funny...is that people keep coming on these forums and ripping on all of us Orono Boys for overhyping ourselves...if you dont want to hear it...then stop reading...you dont have to read it...just go watch the news or something...your old...we are young...its what we do...

WELL since this is a big rival game i think the celebrations after the goals are what makes it fun. This is one of the only games of the year for both these teams that the stands are full. The celebrations are all in good fun. Although i do think that at the end of the game you should not jersey pull it if you are going to lose AND the Orono kids already did the jersey pull so he should have done something else if he were to do anything at all.

Ha...sorry man I didn't really expect anyone to take it completely litarally. No goalie has or ever will be able to be actually defined as unbeatable. Sorry if you didn't catch that. Just trying to express how good of a game I thought Peterson had. And by the way, if your going to talk statistics at least know something about the teams. Brad Ryan plays a VERY offensive system with the knowledge that their opponents are going to get many very good scoring opportunities. He knows that Peterson is going to get hammered every game. He expects to give up goals. And don't call me an Orono boy.Iceman33 wrote:Look up the deinition of unbeatable.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean giving up 3 goals in a game.
Don't think it means having 5 losses on the season either.
Didn't even see Peterson in the top 15 for metro area goalies.
He doesn't have a shut-out yet this year (so he hasn't even made it through ONE game being unbeatable.)
He's not in the top 35 in the state in any goaltender statistic. (GAA, Save %, or Wins)
PLEASE quit talking about how good he is, You are actually ruining the kids name and embarrassing him, because he is no where near as good as anyone talks.
These are facts my friend, I don't even want to hear the garbage comeback you Orono boys give.

I'm sure the kid felt pretty stupid after he did the jersey pull especially when your losing.
