After MLK break
A couple of average tourneys this last weekend, but some surprising scores from the week. We are getting to the end lets see how things shake out in the districts. Lets take a look at what we got. Just a note it was really hard for me to drop WBL out of the top 20. I know they are a good team but have just not shown it this year.
1. EP – Clear Cut #1
2. Duluth East – #2 no brainer
3. Centennial – Has really played well lately
4. Jefferson – Just Beat up Wayazata , Big matchup with Edina this week
5. Brainerd – Wins their own semi-soft tourney
6. Andover – Kicked around a little up north, Big game with Centennial Friday
7. Wayzata – Leading D3 but needs wins outside of that
8. Edina – Seems like things have smoothed over in Hornetville, Can they beat the Jags?
9. Mounds view – Tops of D2
10. Tartan – Battle to the end with Moundsview and the maybe the bears
11. Rochester North – #1 in District 8 no need to move them
12. Woodbury – #2 in District 8 Playing well
13. Osseo – 2nd in District 3
14. Lakeville South – Hard couple of games in Brainerd
15. Elk River – falling fast with some big L's last week
16. Eagan – #4 in District 8
17. Hermantown –
18. Blaine – tied the Elks
19. Grand Rapids – Better Showing in Brainerd
20. Cottage Grove - Coming on Strong, giving good teams fits
Outside looking in: (in this order as per their showing)
White Bear Lake – has a hard time with ________ (put your team here)
Burnsville - not good in St. Cloud
Chaska – Could not get out of pool play in St. Cloud
Maple Grove –
St. Cloud – Good Pool Play in a weak tourney at home
Stillwater –
East Grand -
Apple Valley

Debate
Ok, sure this is up for debate. That is the point of the whole thing I think. But who should change, and why? I mean you say Andover is to high but they fell last week and will continue to fall if they keep loosing. but they don't drop off the board because they traveled 8 hours and lost some games. You have to think about the teams they beat and the games they played already this year.
As far as rapids and Lakeville.... it was a 0-0 tie that shows no reason that GR should be ahead of Lakeville, Lakeville has been consitatly above average to good all year and GR is riding a roller coster.
To be honest besides 1-3 I cannot put anyone in a single spot with any confidence, in general the teams are down this year and I will be surprised if anyone other than DE, centennial or EP have a chance at winning it.

Having watched the GR Lakeville game, on this day teams were very evenly matched. If GR did out shoot Lakeville , the quality of chances would be tipped in Lakevilles favor. Outstanding goaltending by GR throughout entire game and shootout. By my count Lakeville sent no less than 6 players in alone but could not sneak one by the GR netminder. A fun game to watch even without a goal

Give me another reason why, other than moorhead beat them. Were you even at the game???? If you were I think you would agree that Brainerd did not have a very good game. So if by them having 1 little slip up means they should move down, then do it, but Im gonna go out on a limb and say that every team up there has had 1 minor "bump" in the road. Maybe those teams stil pulled out the W maybe not. Not to mention, if you attened this game 3 out of the 5 goals scored by moorhead were weak. One rolled up the goalies stick and over his shoulder on a shot from the blue line, one a puck was dumped in and he missed played it, and the other he pretty much had in his glove but it fell out. Im not bashing moorhead in anyway, they did what they had to, to get the win. Also I talked to the Fargo Flyer bantam A coach a few days ago and his exact words to me were that the Brainerd team is hands down the BEST that they have played all year. Even better than your spuds, and correct me if im wrong but didnt you lose to them 8-4 or 8-5???
