Speed Kills

Post by Bensonmum »

There's some very good overall speed this year with a few teams--Roseville is probably the quickest I've seen. But I haven't seen a blazing player out there (like an Allie Thunstrom, eg). Who are some of the faster players out there in 2006-07?

In Class A Breck & Blake are fast teams in general. Not sure that there are many players alive in the world that have a 5th gear like Allie T, but that's just my biased opinion...

Nobody in Thunstrom's class. Some of the speedier players this year include Chutes (Blake), Feste (EP), Wild (CDH), Smith (HA), Weber (ER)

In regards to fast forwards, EP has 2 forwards that are most likely faster than all of the names already mentioned. These 2 are Green and one of the Ketcher girls ( I believe the one that's a JR). Green has a long powerful stride, it takes her a step or two to get going but end to end she is fast. Ketcher has a quicker start but also very fast. I have not seen her play but I've heard the Williams girl in Alex is darn quick, (not very big however). Thunstrom is still in a class by herself.

Kate Bacon of BSM certainly falls into this category.
