Rather lose tonight than in playoffs
Well looks like the Rams had run into a fast moving train tonight. However I would much rather have the Rams lose tonight and then in the playoffs. The one that counts is coming down the road in the playoffs.
Unfortunately did not get to see any of the action however my take is maybe we have been shown who should be in the net down the road for the Rams. Guess I will have to read all the posts to see what the Ram fans think.
I will wait to see what the Rams have to say about that. But tonight looks like they were more like Billy Goats than Rams.

Moorhead has dominated most of both games they have played and now that the playoffs is going to be closer to moorhead than it usually is (mini Ralph) They will have no problem eating the rams once againiwatchalotofhockey wrote:Well looks like the Rams had run into a fast moving train tonight. Roseau should have started Mike Lee tonight and the outcome would probably have been much closer.

Unfortunately i could not make it to the game but my dad was at the game and he called me after the second period. he said that the Rams came out flying and absolutely dominated the first period and could have easily been up a couple of goals. He said in the second Moorhead really turned up the pressure and burried the bisket. Sounds like the game was much closer than the final score intails. From what i heard about the game the section championship should be one hell of a game. About an equal distance in travel, no home ice advantage or home ref advantage for that matter. I can't wait for the game at the mini ralph, i am willing to beat that the section championship game there will be the most attended game in that rink so far. I can't wait and i'll see you there.

Wow, finally a Moorhead fan that shows some respect for an opponent. I agree with spudsdominate, anyone at the game knows Roseau was a few inches, and a few bad eyes, away from a early 2-0 or 3-0 lead. After the 1st, things fell apart for them. Christian was handed a goal from a risky pass from Roseau, and Roseau played conservative on the 5 on 3 powerplay and had maybe 1-2 shots on it. I give respect to the spuds tonight though, they kept it close after the 1st period, then just took Roseau's energy away from them. Good luck to both teams in Sections, the Mini Ralph will be quite the setting for a classic matchup.spudsdominate wrote: Sounds like the game was much closer than the final score intails.

I have to give Moorhead credit for weathering the storm in the first period. After giving up a goal 30 seconds into the game and killing off a 5 on 3 they come out in the 2nd period and dominate.
Roseau looked impressive in the 1st but very unimpressive in the 2nd. I guess good teams find a way to win. I'm sure the section final will be closer but if Moorhead gets ahead at the little Ralph you will see the spuds ROLL once again. Looks like the Spuds are out of their scoring slump.
