Most NHL Players

Post by MNRinkRat »

I don't know if it is Cloquet or not but they have produced three. Corey Millen, which I don't think is playing in the NHL anymore. Derek Plante, also not sure if still playing in the NHL. Last but not least Jamie Langenbrunner, and I'm not sure what team he plays for.

Langenbrunner is still with the Devils isn't he? I'm pretty sure Millen retired, don't know about Plante.

Jefferson has produced at least 6:

Toby Petersen-Edmonton
Mark Parrish-Minnesota
Tom Gilbert-Edmonton
Ben Clymer-Washington
Mike Crowley-Retired
Dan Trebil-?

I think there have been others, but I'm not totally sure.

You would think D East would have a bunch but I can only think of 2.
Sean Hill
Rusty Fitzgerald?

Can anyone expand on that?
....Can't thank you enough for the time.

AP loves tests (even the easy ones)!

Hill-Murray has produced over 30 players drafted
or who went on to play in the NHL without being drafted!

Only three other prep schools have had more NHL players than Hill or Edina
(and none of them are in Minnesota)!

The question is how many NHL players.....The Grand Rapids list, for example, contains several players - Lempe, DeGrio, Rothstein, perhaps others - who were drafted and played some minor league hockey, but never actually played in an NHL regular season game.

I don't think Hill-Murray has anywhere near 30 actual NHL players, but I may be wrong.

Roseau claiming Byfuglien is a little disingenuous...He wasn't born there, and never played for the Rams because of academic ineligibility, and left for juniors before he graduated. He sounds like a gutsy kid in this recent Strib story:

http://www.startribune.com/1330/story/948533.html

But he's certainly not a Roseau product in the same way Butsy or the Brotens are.

That should be up to date too. I just made sure of that when I was updating the other day.

MassMan -

Nice list, except for Lawton - what a waste of a number one pick!
I cringed when my North Stars drafted him first overall and he had a horrible NHL career. Nice agent though eh?
