Great Game

Post by Section8fan »

Just such a great game and a great experience for all the fans and players that were a part of this game. The weather cooperated for the most part, considering how bad it could've been. And just as i had predicted, clark was the addition LOW needed, along with Kyle Hornvet's(sp?) 1st and 2nd career high school goals to get the win against Johnson. Clarks goal, although quite early in the 3rd, virtually sealed the deal, and even got him on Sportscenter's Top Ten Plays as the #4 clip!...meanwhile, that same day his brother, a goalie playing in North Iowa scored a goal too. ... I got all this info from the article in the GF Herald. Great day, and a great game to watch. Well covered by FSN as well.

Anyone else catch Clark's goal on sportscenter's top 10 plays?

Great game for outside hockey. One thing that everyone overlooked was that Johnson had two periods skating into the wind and the wind was really blowing. Remember in the day when you had to skate into the wind your face burned your lungs burned real old time hockey. Thanks to Baudette for the flash back.

I think the wind was a short topic of conversation on the other BBHC thread, but I doubt that the Johnson kids or Moose will use that as an excuse. It's probably a game they should have won, but the LOW kids played well, and just beat them. Johnson didn't skate to loose pucks and paid the price.

Honestly, I think it's probably more fitting for the event that LOW won it anyway.

I have a feeling that I know the answer to this being that it cost about $30,000 to put it on, but does anybody know if their looking to do this annually? I'm really upset with myself that I didn't suck it up and make the drive to see the game. I won't get burned again if they do it next year.

Annual Event

LOW Head Coach Mark Fabian was on KJ102 radio this morning and said they would like to do it again but like you said the cost of doing an event like that again would be hard to get done. Hats of to the people of Baudette for doing a great job with it.

For chrissake... who complained?!?! FSN pointed it out, nobody from Johnson complained as far as I've heard. In fact, just the opposite. But thanks for dragging up a 2 week old thread to take a worthless cheapshot.

Pay attention.
