Mayo could not handle Albert Lea last night. I did not see the game but heard Albert Lea outshot Mayo 2-1.

I predict:

East 9
Mayo 1

The East boys actually seem to like playing in Pioneer Hall, I'm thinking...

Duluth East - 6
Rochester Mayo - 0

I don't see anyone on the Mayo roster that can play with East's 1st line, plus they don't have the depth to make this close.

Mayo has a couple of skilled players and a decent goalie. I think the worst part of the team is the defense and that will kill them against a good team. They can get by with it for the most part against Big 9 teams but not when they start playing some of the bigger teams.

Mayo plays at or just below their level of competition be it Stillwater, Roseville or Austin. I think the score will be closer than the East / Century game, but no way Mayo wins.

Goldy313 keep dreaming. Mayo will give up at least 5 and Mayo will be lucky to score. Grosso's luck has run amuck and don't be blaming RYHA.

You knowww Mayo did beat Hastings 2-1 in OT. Duluth East only beat Hastings 4-3 or 5-4. Mayo may not win but they couple bounces Mayo's way early in the game could have DE a tad bit nervous.

yea east also gave up, because they had the game in the bag after the first period. that shouldnt even be a good thing to compare, possibly mention.

east 7-0

Is it just me or does Donahue seem to be in a little slump? In that case, DE 5, Mayo 2.

He's not performing like he was at the beginning of the year. But if he had a D like he did last year even without Canzanello I think he'd be giving up a lot less goals than what he has been.
