Vranek wins

Eden Prairie wins 5-4. The only reason the game was this close was that the Eden Prairie goalie had a little trouble. EP played their junior goalie. Is he normally the starter? He gave up four on about 19 shots. After the fourth in the second period, I noticed some stirring on the EP bench, but to the kid's credit he hung in there and did not give up any goals in the third.

The Eagles had the edge all night. I don't mean to rag on the kid, but for all the hype Yumusaklar did not look very strong in the nets.

He made a few nice stops, but Eden Prairie made the most of some good chances. Yumusaklar did not look dominating by any means. I don't think EP got to 40 shots. Maybe the kid had an off night. He wasn't horrible, just not good enough. With a lights out performance, LS wins the game.

Vranek is fun to watch.
