ALBERT LEA YOUTH HOCKEY LOST A GOOD COACH.

Post by ZAMBONI »

Albert Lea lost a good coach when Tim Colstrup moved from Albert Lea to the Owatonna Youth hockey association. Tim and his brother Dan ( Albert Lea jv coach) were the best coaches I have seen at the youth hockey level in many years. The kids really enjoyed both of these coaches and they made learning fun. They would spend any extra time they had with the players at the outdoor parks. They would work harder with the players that needed the extra help. They coach from there hearts and not for there egos. They get this strong work ethic from there dad who was one of my youth coaches. Also Tim and Dan were my linemates on a youth hockey team.

Good luck to both of you guys and we need more coaches like you.

Tim is now Owatonna jv coach and Dan is Albert Lea jv coach.

Sounds like a good coach. Tough for the players that he worked with all this time. But good luck to him and let his success from one city move to another.

Hit the nail on the head there BONI! But, you make it sound like AL lost Dan too, he's still coaching in the program, as you said. Just coaching at the next level up.

Too bad Tim didn't get that squirt job and decided to move his family up to Ellendale in order to uproot his kids from AL because of squirt hockey and whether their dad got to coach.

I agree with you ZAMBONI! It really is too bad that the association lost Tim. I'm glad that he still gets to have a positive impact on kids in Owatonna, they should feel lucky.

Since your are such a GREAT friend of both Tim and Dan, then you must have been at the Owatonna/AL JV game last night, right?

PUCKHANDLER. WOW, it did'nt take you long to TWIST THIS STORY UP. Read what I wrote. I said that they both were youth coaches and Tim moved and Dan is Albert Lea jv coach and not youth anymore. How bad is that you have TWISTED this story up also.

Just because I played hockey with them and I know them , does'nt mean I'am going to the games and SIT ON THERE LAPS.

This just goes to show others that you pat Tim on the back one minute and then you stab him in the back the next minute. It's all about CONTROL. Tim has the freedom to live where ever he wants. Albert Lea hockey has a hard time letting things go. IT'S ALL ABOUT CONTROL.

GOOD LUCK to Tim and his boys.

PUCKHANDLER ( Marty A. ) HAVE FUN AND RELAX.

I know Marty A., sorry, I'm not him, guess again!

Read my post again. I was agreeing with you. I wish Tim the best!

I'm going to go and relax. After I get done relaxing, I'm going to have fun.

Thanks for the tip!
