www.Totalhockey.net has the photos. First skate on page one is the Bauer XXXX and check out the last skate on the bottom of page 2 to see how Reebock is changing the 9K's for next year. (Ugly, in my opionion.....I hope the trend is not going to white skates!)

The new RBK 9k pumps look goofy, and almost like goalie skates. The vapor XXXX's are pretty cool and sound good.Charliedog wrote:www.Totalhockey.net has the photos. i think that a good pair of skates are the Graf 705's. Even though if you have anyhting close to a wide foot you in for some problems.(very narrow boot).

Hockey Skate Marketing
Nike is one of the best marketing companies in the world. Just like the auto makers, they bring out new models every year. But that doesn't mean their new models are always the best available, only the most expensive. It also means last year's hot model will soon be available at a significant discount. What is best is a case of personal preference. I have not seen the new XXXX. I think the Supreme One90s are way too stiff and way too expensive (as are they XXXs) I prefer an old-fashioned sewn boot to the newer foam injected boots (like the Vapor or Vector lines). I have a pair of Bauer 6000s and a pair of Mission S500s. The 500s were "top of the line" a couple of years ago at $400+ and have recently been on sale at Hockeygiant for $100. So, save some money and avoid buying this year's hot fad skate.
