1. EP – 2 wins over #5 Brainerd, EP is good!
2. Jefferson/Kennedy – Beats East and Hermantown
3. Duluth East – loss to Jefferson
4. Centennial – Takes down Blaine and is Poised for a District Title, Don't Trip!
5. Wayzata – Walking away with D3
6. Edina – 3-1 Win over Lakeville South
7. Brainerd – a couple of close games with EP but both L's
8. Rochester North – #1 in District 8
9. Tartan – Only one loss in D2
10. Woodbury – #2 in District 8 Playing well
11. Mounds view –

12. Lakeville South – #3 in D8
13. Osseo – playing strong
14. Andover – Lost to Armstrong? = big drop
15. Grand Rapids – Wins Crookston Tourney
16. Hermantown – Good Showing in Duluth
17. Eagan – #4 in District 8, Tied Jefferson in Duluth
18. Elk River – Wins a poor tourney, Barely.
19. Stillwater –Playing better
20. Cottage Grove - Why Not??

Outside looking in: (in this order as per their showing)
Blaine – Absolutly Hammered this last weekend
White Bear Lake – injuries hurt an already down team
Burnsville -
Chaska –
Maple Grove –
St. Cloud –
East Grand -
Apple Valley

Made a small adjustment as to how I think it is.
Rochester beat Edina this weekend. Tartan isn't playing well right now. Woodbury did okay in Duluth. MV hasn't played anyone lately.

For my top ten I would go with...

1. Eden Prairie (Has been playing great)
2. Jefferson
3. Duluth East
4. Rochester North (Beat Edina 3-1)
5. Edina ( Beat Lakeville South and Osseo in Rochester)
6. Centennial
7. Wayzata (I haven't seen them lately so I couldn't judge fairly.)
8. Tartan
9. Brainerd (Heard they are a very solid team)
10. Woodbury

Jefferson Kennedy

Post by Chuck Norris Fan »

Right, I heard that Centennial was only getting three players from Blaine. hmmmm I wonder if they would be better then? Of course they would. Combine any two associations players and see what happens. Don't give me the load of bull about they are one association, last time I checked Kennedy still had a Bantam A team. Jefferson I hope you win this year to make it all worth it. Of course if you don't you could see what Richfield is doing maybe you can take some of their players too.

Jefferdy (as I've seen some call them) is not good enough to win it all. It is a shame when kids abandon their teammates just to try and win a few more games at the youth level.

If you do not like the transfer - challenge it.
File a grievance with Minnesota Hockey.
Otherwise accept it.

K, those kids from Kennedy on the Jefferson team transferred because 1) they wanted to go to Jefferson with more of their friends 2) to win at highschool

Im not in total favor of the transfer but I also dont see anything wrong with kids moving to another association to win...its a competition and a business. Deal with it.

And why would you say Jefferson isnt good enough to win it all? Besides EP they've beaten most of those top teams.

I've seen and played against all these teams, and jefferson isn't good enough to beat teams like DE, EP, or maybe even rochester. espnmobile, i guess its time for you to deal with the fact that your team did take players from kennedy and you will be stereotyped for it (and should be too). If it wasn't for those kids, you guys would not be nearly as good as you are now.

Jefferson has beaten DE and tied EP...so first off that proves you wrong on the first part of your arguement. And I just admitted that Jefferson got kids from Kennedy but they didnt go out and drag em over. Im very glad those kids are on the team, they do make us better, but whats the big deal? Would you want to play for Kennedy? The kids who did transfer made that decision a while back. I knew the Bantam A team would have them my PeeWee A year.

sound pretty decent and were a little unknown i think....looks like they have beaten chaska, minnetonka, and burnsville and tied moorhead in the st. cloud tourney. or maybe they just played the best they have all season and got lucky....im not sure. have a pretty good record also, but alot of wins against not very good teams in D5.

Sartell lost to Brainerd in the final seconds of the game... or actually the final SECOND of the game. Brainerd scored as time expired. Hard to tell if they are any good though, Brainerd didn't skate that game and still won. I doubt they deserve to be in the top 20.

East Grand Forks is #5 team in District 16.
Roseau is as good (maybe better) than Brainerd.
Bemidji is as good as Grand Rapids.
Crookston is a good team.

I would say I agree with you on the Crookston front. I don't think Bemidji is as good as Rapids and Roseau is getting better, but is not even close to Brainerd.

Bemidji did manage to beat Grand Rapids in both meetings. I understand at home it was our Refs and in Rapids they didn't come to play  . Anyway, Brainerd is making a swing through Bemidji, Roseau, and Warroad this weekend. Should be able to get a better measure of a few of the North Region teams...

Don't sound so bitter dad. Bemidji has beaten GR in two 1 goal games, but that's not saying they're a better team. On any given night, anyone can beat anyone. Bemidji has a nice team and if and when they meet up with GR again, I'm sure it will be close. Don't come off so cocky and sarcastic when it comes to GR. They've played one of the tougher schedules in the north and are having a fine season.

Might have to take another look at St Cloud. They lost to Brd. in OT playing shorthanded 5 on 4 at the start of OT, 5 on 3 and then back to 5 on 4 when Brd scored.

Against EP, EP set the pace and controlled play in the majority of both games. The difference was the goalie for Brd. Ditto for the Grand Rapids game.

I was trying to be funny  and actually my comments were not directed at GR (responding to Chuck). I was not saying "Bemidji is better than GR", that's kid stuff, but from the games played between Bemidji and GR there is nothing to indicate the opposite either. Bemidji has played a tough schedule as well and has suffered through injuries where the team went 5-5-2 (nothing to be "cocky" about). Bemidji's losses would eliminate them from consideration it seems, but the head to head victories against other teams, in this instance, do not seem to factor in either (ex. Bemidji is 3-0 vs. EGF to date). If this sentence rubbed you the wrong way

I apologize. Put more weight in the second half of the post where I mention that the teams can be measured against another top D12 team (not GR) this weekend.
