Although I would like to see the Eagles pull this one off I would have to say with Tech's speed they will take this one - but not by much ... cross town rivalries are usually close.

They will play at the NHC Varsity starting @ 5:00. Girls Varsity has the prime time game at 7:30.

I perdict Apollo will take this one. Tech is only running 3 "D" and Apollo on a winning streak.

Apollo 2
Tech 2
Blue&Gold

Apollo 5
Tech 1

Too much pressure for the Tech boys, especially Cashman. Now, if he (Cashman) can start strong, then they might have a chance.

How do you perdict Apollo winning and then have a tie as the score?

nevermind I found updates on RinkWriter's website...

Tied at 0 after 1.

Shots

Tech 13
Apollo 8

Ritter in Net for Apollo and Reynolds in net for Tech.

Can anyone explain why Reynolds is the only goalie dressed for the Tigers?

This just in:

Tech wins by a goal, 3-2 I believe.

I don't know what teams Blue&Gold has watched this year, but you were just a tad off from your prediction -- Cashman didn't play by the way, Reynolds did. And if I recall, Cashman played a pretty good game against your boys in the blue and gold in what amounted to a one-goal game -- and that was with Schmidt and Durant.

Partially true, yadayadayada...Durant played one period vs. Tech. Tech has more talent than Apollo but I think Apollo has a better chance of beating a good team like Roseau than Tech because of their grit and ability to muck it up.

George:

I'm not sure Tech has a whole lot more talent than Apollo. I really think Apollo has some decent skill players, but doesn't play strong defensively. Of course, that's Tech's problem, as well. In my view, that's the part of the game that SCC has both on the blue line and in goal that make them tough. Up front, I don't see much difference in any of the three, but SCC plays well in its own end more consistently than the other two.
