squirt peewee bantam

Post by watchdog »

ive noticed on this sight over the last few years that ever time a subject comes up ie who the top squirts from the iron range district are people have to shoot it down right away. last year these pages were dominated with comments on peewees and that was ok. now this year the board is dominated with disscution on bantams gee could it be that most of the people useing this board are now bantams or their kids are now bantams?? i dont have a problem with it but try to get over yourselves long enough for other discussion not on bantams to take place. i just cant figure out why its a problem for people to ask who some of the better squirts are out their. it cant possible be any dumber than asking who the best bantam b1 players are like who cares. if your on bantam b anything news flash your not that good..... just like last week i started a post asking about the fargo flyer tourney and any predictions on the out come not one replie.

Its just because this year more of the people that come on to this board are people that follow bantam hockey instead of peewees. as for squirts, not many people watch and follow it like A peewees and A and B bantams....so thats why there isnt much to say about threads started about squirts. if you dont like this forum and the threads that are on it this season, then just dont come on it. im sorry and no offense, but i dont think many people are gonna care about the thread you just made because it sounded more like you whining about the threads on here than actually making a good point. also, why would you rip on the B bantams like that? not good? did you know that a TON of the first years on the B bantam teams right now are next years A bantams? there is plenty of talent at the B level....some towns dont have A teams so A level players end up on B1 teams. so are you saying they arent good because they play on a B team but are A level players? you make no sense when you say they arent good.

In addition to that there are plenty of the top B1 teams that can beat A teams. Not to pick on any team but B1 teams like Edina, Elk River, Blaine, EP, and the other top 10-20 teams would manhandle a majority of A teams.

my point

Post by watchdog »

why is it that all of a sudden its all people fallowing bantams?? i told you because they are bantams or parents of bantams. go to page 11 on this forum or page 10 from last year its all PEEWEE!!!!!! now i didnt say or my point was not saying i dont like the message board because it is a good source for some fun but what my point was just because the thread is not on bantam hockey people dont have to go on just to make fun of a person for talking about another level of play.. its just getting old listening to all the bantam parents talk about their kid on here. its like if i dont talk about your awesome bantam hockey player i shouldnt bother making a thread. as for the comment on b bantams i guess im not really talking about the few towns across minnesota that only has b teams but if a kid is really that good and deserves to be mentioned as such a great player he would make bantam As as a first year no matter where hes playing. the nanne kid made peewee A in edina last year as a first year and im sure they have 200 kids trying out for the team. of those 200 im more than sure they could fill the team with 2nd year players.

that is true. and now that you say about how people rip on others for making threads about something other than A and B bantams....i agree. honestly im suprised no one didnt totally rip on the person who started the top squirts in the IR thread. i think people who have come on here just lately and saw that its all about bantams think maybe talking about peewees or squirts or even girls is like illegal or something. its called the minnesota YOUTH hockey forum....which means all youth levels, girls and boys. sorry if i made any mistake in my response to your first post on this thread watchdog

ok last comment your right ep edina ect.. b1 could beat alot of a teams. but if your talking about how good one player is wouldnt you start with the 15 players in edina that made the A team first???? which basically says it all. so why dont the question say ok after subtracting the 2,000 or so A bantam players in the state that play hockey whos really good out their?

I'm all for topics relating to other levels of hockey, but come-on! they tend to be all "top player" related questions and I find those so self serving.

Talk about teams and the competitions but there is no basis for determining top Squirt, PeeWee, or Bantam players besides players or parents wanting to see names mentioned.

Every now and then squirt topics come up but usually towards the end of the year. Its been kind of taboo to bring up squirts on the message board. Give em time to grow and mature before we start in on who the best are... after all, they are only 9 and 10.
