is there hockey after jr gold

Post by GAC02 »

even if you get cut from a varsity team does nt mean there is no chance to play when jr gold is done. #2 from last years jr gold b team is currently on the jv roster at gustavus adolphus college in st peter and is logging a fair amount of ice time. nice decision by the coaching staff at chaska.

franchise130 i think that those possibities are real even though manitoba is a long way from chaska jr gold, ther are guys playing on gac on the jv that came from jr leagues in canada and california, so the level of play is quite high, and just because you didnt play varsity does not mean you can't compete, #2 from last jr gold team is testement to that because he is getting playing ahead of guys with jr hockey experiance

GAC...stop talking about yourself. jeesh. you might as well just call this thread "explaining my life story to everyone and trying to make it sound like its not me and trying to brag about the fact im playing at Gustavus coming from junior gold". there, that makes more sense. :)

Unless your already going to college, the best bet would be Junior B's. In which if you make a team at that level, you get lots of D-3 college exposure, and depending on the team, a good player may even be looked at by higher levels (D-1, USHL, NA) though that's rare.

I'd much prefer a person admit that they are a person and say something like..."I play college hockey after playing Jr. Gold" instead of saying "#2 plays college hockey after playing Jr. Gold"

you're tooting your own horn. Based on what I've gathered from you, I would have probably cut you last year too. If I was one of your college teammates, I would harass you for talking about yourself like this.

But seriously, say hi to Rindy for me.

I don't know how that isn't tooting your own horn. And as for Rudy, he didn't get cut by his high school team and he went and played D-1 football at a prestigious school. You didn't make your high school team and you play D-3 JV at an OK D-3 school. So, yeah, I guess you're just like Rudy.

So this thread was suppose to be about talking yourself up?

I'm sorry, but your a joke. And I completely agree with George Blanda, if I was on that team I would harass you too. And like Blanda said, you're story is just like Rudy.

Get over yourself. D-3 is nothing special. Let alone the JV team. I seriously hope people don't use your unbelievable example as something to look forward too.

My previous post wasn't to give YOU advice. The title of the thread; "is there hockey after jr. Gold." I was just throwing an option out there. Which is probably a lot better one than going D-3 JV! Cause I would bet a good some as to say the Northern Lights would walk over GC JV team more than once.

Wow!

You guys are brutal.

I have known GAC02 for many years. He is not talking himself up.

He is telling you that you can play anywhere if you believe in yourself and work hard.

Give a guy a break.

I've watched the ice hawks destroy every MIAC JV team for the past few years.

I think they beat Bethel JV 7-1 and St. Mary's 12-1.

mjhl ice hawks beat st mary's jv twice this year first game was 8 to 2 second game was 4 to 3 favor of the ice hawks not quite the 12 to 1 you reported. also gusties jv beat st mary's 8 to 4, so possibly would have given the ice hawks a good game if they would have had the chance to play.

I also knew a kid that played with my older brother (so its obviously not me talking myself up lol) who chose not to play varsity and plat JGA for White Bear. After graduating he went and played with the green bay gamblers varsity team and got lots of playing time. and now hes even been checked out by lots of AHL teams. so theres a lot of chances out there if you search for them and if you try hard.

go get em tigers.

The Green Bay Gamblers varsity team huh? Since when does USHL teams have varsity and jv teams?

See, I think your full of crap, but that's just me! Because even mentioning a USHL team and the word varsity in the same sentence just tells me you don't have a clue... and in turn, probably making this up.

I could be wrong though... you might just be that stupid!

How about enlightening us with a name and season he played. I have a couple options to find out if its true... I know the goalie that played for them a couple seasons back (Troy Davenport). Or I could just look on the team web site.
