Make a case for someone else other than using my computerized rating system. I mean, you don't really think that the coaches care about that, do you? Or are you grasping at straws here?dherman8 wrote:Hold up here fellas. Will someone please make a case for East getting the 1 seed? To me, it will be a travesty if that happens. According to the minnhock rankings Cloquet has played 12 ranked teams from class A and AA and they went 9-2-1. Then on the other hand East has played 10 of those ranked teams and they have a record of 5-4-1. CEC was also missing some of their players for a few of the games too. If East doesn't jsut absolutely crush them tomorrow night how can you give the number 1 to East?![]()
In a similar vein, do you know what the criteria is for seeding in section 7AA? If so, what is your argument for anyone else getting the top seed if East beats Cloquet tomorrow night?
You might want to spend some time comparing how the teams in this section have fared against one another this season. It'll save you from making statements which are so easily rebutted.
Your turn.

Ok I will give you that. If East wins tomorrow night they should get the 1 seed considering the section records of the teams but I have just spent five minutes on a poem so I want to share iteast hockey wrote:Make a case for someone else other than using my computerized rating system. It has occurred to me that a certain argument has come to light
Will it be Cloquet or Duluth East that will have to wear the away white?
The smart fans are confident of who it should be
East already fell to their knees and for mercy did they plea
How can one honor a team like that with a number one seed
Especially since East doesn’t possess the Lumberjack strength and speed
The hounds also showed they can’t defend their home ice
So before you praise East I suggest you think twice
Because after CEC claims victory over the hounds one more time
East will be stuck with an even higher mountain to climb
Which will pave the perfect path for the Lumberjacks, clear and straight
So that East will have to dream about next year as Cloquet goes to state
Party time

(P.S. Don't ask me why I am even arguing this, I like Duluth East too

Common Opponents
CEC and East record against common opponents is CEC 7-1, and East 7-0. CEC is currently 1-0 head to head, and I suppose that would be the tie breaker going into Tuesday's game. East wins, then they get the #1 seed. CEC wins they get the number one seed, but only if they beat Brainerd. IF CEC loses to Brainerd after beating East, you have the conundrum of 3 teams with 2 section loses, GR, East, and CEC. Throw out section records and you have East and CEC with identical records against common opponents. Ish....I think they'll just end up setting up a 7-10 split and let the coaches roll until the first one knocks it down, they get #1, end of discussion.
From what i just read... http://www.gazette.com/tigerden/display ... 7&secid=52
TJ should be playing this weekend. Just gonna miss the FSN hockey night which is a bummer being a Cloquet guy and not living in the area anymore.

I like that but, I think the best team is Flake they deserve #1 The politics is very true.elliott70 wrote:Serously, the best team is Elk River.
Just because they got fluked a couple of time should not stop them from getting the #1 seed.
But they won't, its all about East and their political machine.
Is one enough, Lee.
