Is it Finnish like I think it is and pronounced "Yokinen" or is it what they are saying "Jockinen"?

Justin Jokinen

East got "homered", with a goal waved off. Quick whistle on a puck that wasn't covered.

Jokinen is correct spelling and i thought it was Yokinen too, but thats not how they are pronouncing it.

I know its spelled Jokinen, but I think they're pronouncing it wrong. There's an NHL player Oli Jokinen (im pretty sure thats his name anyways haha) but he's a Fin. I think they're just slaughtering the name tho.

The name is Finnish. Oy-ki-nen would be the correct pronunciation I believe, or something close to that.

Great game so far. Reid shows that he is a great goaltender, no doubt.

not makin excuses for east but to me east is out playin them, cec looked solid in the 2nd, but then again they are 4 starters short, and im an east boy... cec is playin real good. Lets go in the 3rd hounds... The bad thing is east really doesnt score much on cec now they need 2 in 1 period

just my opinion... elk river needs to move out of 7AA , GR should go to 8AA... theres just to much talent in 7AA not to go to state

Your right. Send Elk River to 3AA.

Adding GR to 8AA would make it one of the most, if not the most, exciting sections to watch come section time.

Only way to beat him is to have his own guy score on him.

And put ER back in 4AA, only makes sense.

Come join us in 3AA, more the merrier.

You need Hibbing or DM to go AA before the Elks go anywhere.

But down there we can be ashamed at who comes out. If WBL does, then we have no chance of 3AA winning state...

And you guys are a little too far east for us. 4AA is perfect.

Ends a tie, Ellingson and the refs starred for cloquet. Great game though.
