Some of the players going to Toronto with the MN blades with get invited. The blades are bringing two teams up there this year.

In all honesty, what does playing for the Blades have to do with getting invited to the MN Select 16 Tryouts. Nothing except that some of these players are very good and would be invited even if they played for the "MN Rink Rats."

The Blades can travel to Toronto, go to Boston or go to Vancouver for these prospect camps and have some good competition but it matters very little for the Select 16's. If a player is picked only because they play for the MN Blades then the selection committee should be evaluated.

Sorry, thought this post was about the Select 16's.

Have no clue about the USHL Camps but the same holds true. If a player is good the people that count will see them play.

The camp in Chicago was started by Bob Torow who runs tha Toronto Prospects Tournament. This camp is subjective since the USHL teams do their own scouting.

I do know that the Xposure Tournament will have all of the scouts attending since it is associated with the Elite League and Shattuck. Why would a player want to attend a camp in Chicago run by Turow since the Xposure Tournament will have all of the USHL and NCAA scouts in attendance?

It is rather interesting that since our many of our Minnesota players are not attending the Prospects Tournament in Toronto that they are advertising a USHL camp in Chicago run by the Prospects Tournament director. Do they guarantee that every one of the USHL scouts will be in attendance?

Check out the Xposure Tournament website at www.xposurehockey.com. Another tournament that specifically promotes Minnesota players is the Team Minnesota vs. Team Michigan series at www.teamminnesota,org.

Just curious of your thoughts.

I have heard from a very good source that it doesn't really make sence to attend both the toronto tournement and chicago.
