Seeding's are pretty close to being set, barring FP point's getting in the way.
West: Redwood
Mankato
New Ulm
Marshall
East: Faribault
New Prague
Albert Lea
Owatonna
First roud match-ups should be tight. I think Redwood will have more of a problem with Owatonna than Faribault will with Marshall. Mankato and Albert Lea split 2 games this season. New Prague is better on paper than New Ulm, but the Ulmer's have been playing very good lately and keep most game's tight. Redwood beat Faribault head to head, but I am going to hop on the fence and say that both are favorites.

You guys had a game with Mankato recently...how'd that go?

Redwood will be upset by Owatonna. Mark my words.

here are my picks for the first round:

Faribo over marshall
Albert Lea over MAnkato
Redwood over OWatonna (Redwood will start out slow due to a long way over but i think they will still pull off a win)
New Prague over New Ulm [/u]

Faribault will come on top in this district. New Prague will be the ones losing in the championship game during this tournament.

I'm not going to go into predictions, as this tourney is totally up for grabs for any team in it...

I'm curious as to why everyone is so sure about Albert Lea...?

Far. 8-1 over Marshall, 3-1 over Mankato
New Prague 8-4 over New Ulm, 3-1 over Owatonna

Mankato beat AL 4-3 and then played Far. very tough. Championship game should be tight with NP and Far. Play in game will also be good, Mankato vs. Owatonna

Faribault does a nice job of proving convincingly that they were the best team in the district this year. They played awesome in the final's. Owatonna scrapped their way to regional's also, good job. Good luck to both team's in Marshall. If Faribault play's the way they did Sun. afternoon, they can play with any of the team's in the regional format.

Kudos to Owatonna for making it to regions. All those hours down at Morehouse have paid dividends towards the end of the year.

Great tournament - just like everybody thought, close games with a lot of awesome hockey and close finishes. Faribault played the best and Owatonna beat Kato fair and square, and was the team on the rise for the last month of the regular season. NP also played some great hockey.

What was the score in the championship game?

BTW, Jackstraw, great job this year.
