First of all, i did not see the hit so i probably shouldnt be commenting on it. But, i do personally know Skoog, and he is the last kid who would ever throw a cheap hit to hurt someone. Just flat out not that type of kid. As for Earls, if anyone has seen him-one goofy looking kid, ive actually played him in baseball and watched him hit a bomb that cleared the fence, he was a pretty solid baseball player but from what it seemed like from then and playing with him in advanced 16 tryouts last year...one strange, strange kid.

i just want to reply to the basketball comment earleir... ARE YOU BLIND AND DEAF or do you just not own a tv. KG's class is very questionable, throwing a basketball at a fan, throwing a basketball at a player and then throwing what some might be able to interpret as a punch. KG and those who make fun of someone for getting a concussion can be compared to school in summer. No Class.

Idk Smothers could have played a lot better...idk what happend...2 shots 2 goals...and later through the second period he had a 50% save percentage...12 saves isnt that good...but i guess what can you do...i dont understand not putting in their backup...Orono did with 10 minutes left...Why not put in their back up after the 6 goal or something...it was obvious HF was going to lose...why not let the back up play...oh well im not the coach...but good win for Orono...GREAT GAME TP!!! That puck should be yours kid.

Smothers is a good goalie, but he did not play very well last night, I think when you let in the first two shots of the game your confidence level goes way down and I think thats what happened with him. The score was 4-3 at one point in the second, it wasnt a bad game at all except for that smothers didnt play very well. He just needs to work on confidence. I think there were like 3 breakwaway goals, 3 powerplay goals and the rest were softys. He showed he can step it up in the big games when he played good against mound and scc, theres just something about orono though. There a good hockey team. But yeah it could have been closer if smothers played better and I just think that every goalie has there bad games and this was one of them for him.

Smothers might be a good goalie...but if he can step it up in big games...why didnt he step it up last night...that was a big game too...first 2 shots...2 goals...they were weak sauce goals too...i know confidence goes down after that, but you gotta suck it up, specially when it was a 4-3 game, you gotta show up and make some saves, i just think he could have stopped about 4 goals from going in...
a good goalie would be one that doesn't let in the first two shots of the game. But if he does happen to let in these first two shots, a good goalie would be one that could recover and not let in another goal all game. Good goalies don't have good nights or bad nights. A good goalie is solid anytime that they are called on to play.

Very true, 4 atleast, if not more. I knoe your a goalie and from a goalie's perspective does it just suck after letting in the first two shots? What does that do to you and how do you over come it? I really think he did a good job early in the second. He had a two pretty nice glove saves but then all hell broke loose. I think after Orono called the time out they scored 4 goals in like 4 minutes. That was embarassing.
Yeah didnt you let in the first shot you saw against Minnetonka and then you were pulled right away. I meen comeon, you have to be ready at all times, like you said. You really shouldnt be ripping on Smothers, he's a 3 year starter, something you havent accomplished yet. And he's actually a pretty good goalie with the exception of last nights horrible perfromance. He looked weak last night.

Smothers isnt good bottom line. He's lost many crucial games giving up 19 goals to orono in 2 games and giving up 7 to mound and 6 to SCC. Those are the games where if he was a good goalie he would step it up and he obviosly didnt. 32 goals in 4 crucial games is not good, and you cant keep saying he's having off nights because that is not it.
