Makes you wonder if WBL could beat Roseville and Cretin this week, win their conference and still lose to Stillwater in the first round of sections.

they are now 1-2-2 in their last five, which is a big change from their 13-0 start or something like that. they still have the potential to come out of 7AA and will still be my choice if they win out the season, but turning cold before the playoffs is tough to recover from. I don't see that run in the X happening anymore

Guess this shows once again thet the SEC could really be the toughest conference to play in.

Not sure how many people agree but what I've been saying is that Stillwater is a team with lots of talent but they aren't very consistent. No one should want to face them as they could probably take anyone out on any given night, but the most number of games they have won in a row this season is 2 and they've only done that twice, which is why I don't see them as a contender for the crown.

man oh man.... I have no idea what happened to CEC last night. Rumor around Cloquet is that they had practice until 1 this morning. I guess I dont blame Coach Esse at all they had a HORRIBLE game last night. I hope that CEC steps it up ALOT against Brainerd today. Just my 2 cents...

7AA fans...still think your section is better than 3AA?? Our #5 seed just destroyed one of your top seeds. No doubt 3AA is the state's toughest section this year.

Still not getting your point. Every team has an off night. When you don't have enough players to field a JV game (like what happened today against Brainerd) your not exactly going to light it up every night. I wouldn't be getting to arrogant, buddy.

He gets to much time. Cloquet has a great back up, I don't understand why they don't give him a start. He has 4 starts this year 3 being shutouts and 1 letting 1 goal in, becuase TJ was fooling around with the puck in front of the net. And they can win with there back up, he is really good.

Well, they made the right decision to play the best goalie in the state in a pivotal game for seeding. I don't think too many people will argue that.

Making an argument based on one game? Okay...

1. Your probable #1 seed needed a shootout to beat our probable #2 seed.
2. That #5 seed, after beating our top seed, got taken to the woodshed by our #2 seed.
3. WBL...lost to Cloquet and East
4. Elk River, a probable 5 seed, split with Centennial, a probable 4 seed.

Now, I'm not saying that 7AA is better, but you should know better than to try to make an argument on just one game. It's flimsy at best.

I won't go into State Tournament history for those two sections...want me to go there next? Image
