Pre-Section Scrimmages

Recently I have seen some teams scrimmaging other teams in between Regular Season and Sections. South Saint Paul is going to scrimmage St. Paul Johnson on Friday with and emphasis on Powerplay and Penalty Kills, also the SSP girls team did it to with another school. is this a growing trend and are other schools doing it? Do you think its a good idea? I wanna hear what others have to say

I know Elk River and AHA are scrimmaging on the 17th if I remember correctly. I think it is at Marriucci.
