I looked at all three of the rankings (Pioneers, LPH, Hockey Journal) and the only district 8 team close to the top 20 is Eagan. I don't see district 8 having 5 teams that could make a run. Where are the Lakeville teams?

you are correct - no time for inconsistency at this point of the season.

win one (in two cases 2) or done for 3 extremely very good teams. It will be tough coming through the wild card - first Edina White, then Ep red - it will have to be a heck of a winning streak but maybe coming into double elimination with a running start versus a standing start will help initially?

IMHO:

D8 are:
1) Woodbury - the best skating team in D8
2) Roch Red - the best puck control team
3) Roch Black - the biggest and toughest
4) Lakeville So - the best G
5) Eagan

2 thru 4 have a solid shot at advancing

D6:
1) Edina White - no weaknesses
2) EP Red - no weakness, nice PP, a little small
3) Edina Green - potent but flakey
4) Chaska - potent but flakier
5) Burnsville - always in the game
6) EP Black - solid, but needs scoring punch

Could come down to who stays healthy through the intense week.

D10:
1) Cent Red - steadily improving
2) Blaine - 19-1 in tourney play
3) ER - up and down, but mostly up
4) Chisago - potent but not much depth

4 good teams with 4 styles of play. One will miss out.

D2:
1) WBL Orange - strong but a tad short in depth
2) Stillwater - good hustle - they find a way to win
3) WBL Black - just as good as the other two.

One team gets shorted as D2 only advances 2

D11:
1) Duluth East - a bit small, nice G - God is on their side
2) Hermantown - very nice team but a bit small and slow
3) tough call between Lakers, and DE #2

D11 sends 3 to regions.

D3:
1) Wayzata Blue - OK now, but needs to get healthy for the long run
2) Blake - speedy and flakey
3) MG - solid depth but needs scoring
4) Wayzata Gold - good chance to make regions if they can score

So is Jefferson not even a possibility to go to regions?

They have just as good a chance as EP Black or Chaska. A matter of fact they would have a better chance as Jefferson is not in the one game, win or be done round.

edina white no weakness i could think of a couple no disrespect a good team but no teams weakless how about there hep point problem and no weakness is pretty much saying they wont lose ever again
but every body has a chance in D6 so include them all

Jefferson is the stealth team because they are unassuming and not very flashy. Teams too often look past them or underestimate them. For those teams that do that now- they might end up looking up at the top bracket and being one game from the end of the season.

my2cents - no change back on your opinion this time around. Great assessment of Chaska. LOL very good summary. Much like their must have, needed to win loss against Jefferson. I heard, it didn't appear Jefferson wanted to win that game but Chaska kept insisting that Jefferson take the win or that by going through the motions , Chaska thought a win would sometime present itself on it's own. I consider that flaky

d2 sends 3 teams
most people just look at the east regional
but if you look at the south regional tourny you will see
the 3rd place team in d2 makes it

Yes, you folks are correct, I did overlook Blmtn Jeff in D6. They are a solid team. They will have trouble scoring in big games, but they do play well in their own end and have solid G. I don't think anyone can predict game by game outcomes in this district for playoffs.

Way too many quality teams in one league.

yet we have a call into him just in case. Plus, we have a call into Mitch Rapp (of Vince Flynn's book series fame).

We would rather be covert in our plans than feel the need to call in any of the armed services. :-$ :-$
