The new arena was great...other than the glass handicap area's it was amazing. You could see the Bison were a little stiff in this one until about half way through the second period. Very unlikely hero for Rogers as Josh Provo scored two goals as a fourth liner. Scatterelli and Jensen played almost whole game and are very good together and shut down Buffalo quicker forwards. CNT was unwilling to meet so no meeting occured...don't know what CNT means by flea circus??? I take a shower on most days. Congrats to Rogers for winning crown and to Monti both of whom had great seasons...I wish Rogers luck in their playdowns and think the should be at least a 5 seed in the section with 20 wins. Can't Never Tried wrote:You would be correct on that....
but all you others feel free it'll give ya something to talk about...BTW HOF are you bringing your Flea Circus?

Should be a good game tonight and a Grand Finale to a very fun M8 season.
I hope you all enjoy the new arena it has super sight lines, a great sound system, and it's nice and clean....and just maybe they will have food besides popcorn and candy for ya, cause I know ya like those pretzels...but there still waiting on the permit..I think.
Best of luck to both teams ........well mostly the Royalsain't gonna stop pulling for them now!!
I am hopeful the Bison can get some rest and tune it up a notch again when they hit the playoffs...Zitur played well except Provo who was 2 for 2 against him. Good Luck Royals and Stars...

It was packed the seating is 552 but i'm sure they could have filled them twice, it was double deep standing, and all around the rink...Both teams played awesome as the resulting score would say.HOFamer wrote:The new arena was great...other than the glass handicap area's it was amazing. I can't remember how many close scoring chances each team had but it was a lot. Shots favored Rogers 33-30 or pretty close to that.(i wish they had a shot clock)
Lots of big hits from both sides...Rogers was favored in the penalties 10 for Buff 5 for Rogers...Buffalo was successful in stopping two 5-3's,
Buff had 2 PP goals and R/Z had 1.
As far as the call of the game i thought there were a few non icing and offsides calls... and Rogers escaped with a boarding penalty which should have been a from behind shot...sometimes I think the refs are so caught up in calling penalties they are missing a lot of the iceing and offsides but all in all pretty good i'd say.
That 1st Buffalo line is as good as any out there...Trousdale(spelling?) is so dangerous with the puck each time he brought the puck in the Royals zone everyone was on their feet.
Berquist got one in the 2nd, and Provo managed to get it done with 2 goals in the 3rd, by the way he is a 3rd line soph, and Jensen had a pretty sweet move coming from behind the net in the second period but it didn't fool Zitur.
As far as the meeting..... yeah I like things how they are...and HOF you don't understad the flea circus? Here:
Flea circus
A flea circus refers to a circus sideshow attraction
A number of electrical, magnetic, and mechanical devices were used to augment the exhibit. In some cases these mechanisms were responsible for all of the "acts," with loose fleas in the exhibit maintaining the illusion. Some "flea circuses" do not contain any fleas at all and the skill of the performer convinces the audience of their existence.
How many fleas are in your Minnhock show?

BTW Buffalo got hosed in the seeding should have the 3 spot, and with how this season finished out i hope the same doesn't happen to Rogers in 4AA Sunday......Undefeated last 12 games?? 20-2-3 c'mon 5 or 6 seed

I mean Buff knocks off DE, and Rogers Ties Buff, how many 4AA teams beat DE...ummmm 0........ I'm not saying Rogers did but this has all happened in this all important last week of the season...so do the right thing.

Good luck to all the M8 teams in sections let's see if someone can go to the X this year....Because.

I stand corrected I missed that win for AnokaGetaDayJob wrote:Anoka beat East this year AT Duluth. Anoka will be the 3rd seed. Rogers will be 9th and play either Osseo or Champlin. Then they can play Blaine. I hope Jensen and Scat can play the whole game.

Anokas what a 3 maybe 4 seed? no way is Rogers 9 that's crap. 5 or 6 worst case.

Re: M8
If you go by that logic, Cambridge should be the Champ...last time I checked the champ is the one that gets the most points in all the conference games. Congrats to Rogers, they earned the M8 title this year.Puckguy19 wrote:You can't be a champion until you beat the reigning champion.
Buffalo 3-1
Re: M8
Very good Zippy, after the fact. Prior to the game Thursday I made the statement "You can't be a champion until you beat the reigning champion." While the game ended in a tie (Maybe I should have said "until you beat or tie the reigning champion"), Rogers in essence beat the champion via points, so I tip my cap to the Royals. Prior to the game the had not earned the M8 crown.zippy wrote:If you go by that logic, Cambridge should be the Champ...last time I checked the champ is the one that gets the most points in all the conference games. CNT..when do these seedings come out? Rogers should get the 5th seed..Can't Never Tried wrote:I stand corrected I missed that win for AnokaGetaDayJob wrote:Anoka beat East this year AT Duluth. I heard 2pm Sunday is the 4 AA meeting...so I suppose this time tomorrow we will know.
How many people you think were at this game???
There were more then the Grand opening dbl header IMO.
It was a blast the place was just nuts.
So now we all pull for M8 teams...and wait until next year to
at each other.
Good luck to the Bison, Stars, C/I and the rest in sections.
And of course my favorites...we all know who that is
Go Royals!

Terry Abrams (4AA tournament Manager) told me the seedings would be posted on Sunday at 2pm. I've checked the MSHSL website and all I see are the blank brackets for 4AA. Some of the other sections are filled in with the team names. Go figure?? What a "fairy tale" ending for a few of these kids that only a couple years ago were getting spanked game after game. Congrats to the Royals and DON"T stop here. You will need to bring your "A" game from here on out. Go with what got you this far .... HARD WORK and EFFORT!!!!
