Jefferson @ Benilde 2-22-07
For the first time in many many years the (9-12-3) Jaguars of Jefferson are not the home team in the quarterfinals of 6AA. The (18-6-1) Red Knights of Benilde host them this coming Tuesday. Can Jefferson win away?

I'm sure they can, but BSM is just to strong right now.

6 Seed
This has to be the scariest 6 seed weve seen in a long, long time. They seem to have been playing a little better toward the end of the season, and I wouldnt want to have drawn Jefferson if I had a 3 seed in my section.
Im going with the minor upset:
Jefferson 3
BSM 2

BSM is not playing their best hockey right now. They got beat up by Holy Angels, then tied Osseo 1-1. They rely heavily on their 1st line, which most teams do, but if someone puts a man in Estoclet's face, he tends to pout. They need McCarthy, Student and Weissenberger to play smart at defense, something they've been lacking. The Red Knights were my preseason pick to go to state, but getting the jags right off the bat is tough. I can't wait!

Its obvious who the better team is. But, on any given day anybody can show up and pull an upset. The Jags showed up against Moorhead, the only thing they didnt get were bounces and better goaltending. If they goaltending is there on Thursday its gonna be one fun game to watch.
Plus, Levine has some old friends at Benilde. He played his freshman year on that varsity team. Then left for Jefferson

This will be a good game to watch and for once Jefferson isnt the favorite anymore so there wont be any pressure on them, the pressure is on Benilde. Benilde is a good hockey team but if what Lopresti says is true about benilde on how they rely on their first line that sounds alot like Jefferson. I think Benilde has alot of talent, i think jefferson has talent but a lil unexperienced.....and as far as bluelines comment on jeffersons record and who theyb have beatin, as far as im concerned once its playoff time everyones record is 0-0
anyway.....i would like to see this upset...but i dont think it will happen
BSM 4
Jags 3
in a closer game than some may expect

Michigan.....im not disagreeing with you but you and some others keep sayin that jefferson is playin better as of late but as of late they have a win 3-0 over lakeville south which is nothing to brag about and they just lost 5-2 to burnsville saturday if im right so what makes you believe their playing better hockey lately?
