How do you keep from laughing when you pick Luverne over New Ulm. What is your reasoning?? We just got done playing SCC losing 2-1 are you saying Luverne is as good as SCC? You guys are very funny.

Tomorrow

Post by grafmaster »

Tomorrow should be interesting. The lower seeds with definitly play their hearts out to keep their seasons alive, maybe even making some games out of it!

Nothing else. Luverne hasn't beaten any team other than Marshall with a winning record. We all are looking for the one upset but sorry Luverne this won't be it. Top seeds will all win Thursday and Saturday will be very interesting at GAC

Grizwald,
Luverne has a goaltender that can catch fire. He single handedly won that game for them against Marshall. Any time a team has a hot tender, anything can happen. These are just predictions...

I like SEMinnHockeyNut's picks. Now to justify the Luverne pick:
1) They have a good goalie who has potential to play great and a goalie can steal a game
2) They are the underdog which should be a motivator
3) New Ulm has had some problems this year putting the puck in the net

I still think that NU wins because they are very good defensively and and have a great goalie (not sure on the name). I don't think that Luverne has the firepower up front to beat NU.

I have to agree with boomer19, I don't think we'll see any upsets tonight. The higher seeds will advance. There should be 3 great games next week in St. Peter.

AL 4, Waseca 0

7 minutes left in the game

Waseca is hanging tough but AL just has too much depth.

west 6
windom 0

20 or so shots for windom but not any good scoring chances. west dominates 5 on 5. they had about 50 or so shots. west advances to play new ulm.

anderson hurt in the beginning of the game and didnt finish...

look's like anderson and campbell are hurt for next game.

bigbaby: please be very clear on the following. The refs were not in anyway hired or associated with Marshall. The truth is the high school league is who hires and brings the refs in for section play. To be honest they were about as bad as I've seen. Called off one goal in second period for Austin. It was a two on one break away with the puck sent across the crease. Puck and Austin player arrived in crease at same time. Tough not to condiser this a goal. Second potential goal was a shot that rang all three pipes. I personally didn't think this was a goal but could have been called either way. Third controversial call end of game with fans counting down. Soft shot into net with what appeared to be a goal. Marshall goalie seemed to be listening to fans count-down and quit about 1/2 second early. Fans were counting early.
I've never seen refs hit by more pucks or fall down more than these three refs. It was not a good display of officiating.
