Woodbury will win this game as I predicted by a score of 5-1, then Cretin-Derham Hall will handle them in the final. I'll be surprised if that doesn't happen...

I'm seeing a lot of posts saying things like "I think Woodbury/Tartan has a better chance of Cretin"...

Just out of curiousity, is there anybody out there that doesn't think CDH is a lock for the section finals - that maybe Johnson has a shot at taking them down?

For the record... I'm not one of those people, but I thought I might ask anyway!

I believe Johnson can beat Cretin if they take the body and capitalize on scoring opportunities, and i for one would love to see that happen.

Look at Woodburys conference....by far SEC is much tougher then the CSC. This is the same reason Hastings outplayed the hell out of them. Tartan is not capable of playing in a conference like the SEC. Unless they just happened to have an off night the other day. Wood came up big though. We will be seeing him in the future... but not in state!

You're right, Woodbury should beat Tartan, I just have a feeling thy won't. As for some of the other posts, Johnson has no chance of beating Cretin.

I think you're pretty close to right on. Any chance my Govs have to pull off a freak miracle is going to depend on out muscling the Raiders - which is the one area they could succeed in. The problem is that I don't think Johnson's conditioning is on the level with Cretin - so if they're going to try to hit them, they're going to have to do it early, get on top quick and then hold on for dear life because they'll be gassed for the 3rd period. I'm not going to hold my breath though.

The Govs must contain #17... McDonagh?? Whatever. Hickey is stopable, but if 17 gets loose ya better be ready to clean your lockers

Hickey is not unstopable, WBL made him look very average.

Da berrys from da woods-6
Da titanians from Tartantia-1

Wood is the only good player for Tartan, Furne(spelling) was very good but he left, got a little taste of what happened to us(Hastings), accept for we lost 7 guys

Anyways Woodbury should win this and go on to play Cretin which will be a very good game. Will probably be there for that one.

tarten loses this game by 4 because half of tartens team cant skate, defense is slow, it would be more but carey wood is just unbelievable woodbury's a fast team and can move the puck so easy game for them.

You mean Hastings is finally feeling what Tartan, Woodbury, Cottage Grove, Johnson, Stillwater, White Bear, Highland and Mahtomedi have been dealing with for the past 20+ years.

tartan could have a problem with consistancey... yes they had some off nights during a few games / redwing etc... but the north game shoulda went to OT.. TV coverage proved that was a goal the other night but they couldnt replay that night obvisiously.... and who is good that tartan has beat? Rochester Century. They also kept very close with hill the first time they played them. 4-2 final but they scored the last later in the game.

sections is a whole different ball game for most teams.. younger unexperienced players can really blow it while other guys feed off the intensity and step up to be big game players. well have to wait n see how this turns out

last i heard 2-2 in the 2nd. sounds like wood is keeping tartan in the game and that woodbury's first goalie was a siv in the beginning.

Dont worry about it, lots of people can't spell it correctly.
