I'm going with EGF because it is in their back yard 3-2.
SB you're right there haven't been any upsets yet. However every game has been close (score wise) Even the play in games were closer than they usually are. Warroad is the favorite, but the road is slippery and dangerous. If they aren't careful they may end up in the ditch.
(the road thing is why I might not get to a game until the finals now)

EGF has it! It is their ice. They have beat TRF 2 time already. They have the motivation. They have the support. They are the team that will go to the section finals.
EGF 4
TRF 2
No empty net
TRF is way to sketchy of a team. They will either lose by a bunch or keep it close but still lose. I dont think that TRF will pull this off.

Good one!!!!
Should be a good one!!!
I'm excited:
Hard to predict though because both teams have been brilliant and bad this year. In other words, inconsistent.
Just because they are at home, just as TRF was last year, I'll go with EGF by one goal, 4-3.

This one will go to the Waves. They are playing pretty good hockey on their home ice right now and i guarantee you we aren't the only ones who've noticed TRF's inconsistant play this year. All of those thoughts will be in the players minds as they take the ice and they will come out playing so tight, i wouldn't be surprised if this game was 3 or 4 to nothing for EGF after the first period. Look for TRF to settle down a bit after that, but it will be much too little, much too late.
EGF wins big over TRF

Both teams were sleep walking through the regular season. Egf was terrible early in the season (almost unwatchable). TRF has been up and down all year. They are not playing well right now and their goaltending is very questionable. EGF will win in a very close game. An ugly goal will be the decider in this one. Not Frazee ugly, but close.

I missed it on that one.
But, I still believe that EGF will win this one.

From the perspective of your argument, TRF has more "BIG GAME" experience because they went to state LAST YEAR. EGF's last trip was 2002. Now, the argument of overall state tournament appearances means absolutely nothing. Why would it matter that EGF has gone to state 7 times since 1971? Why would it matter if TRF went to state a million time in the 40s and 50s? It wouldn't. The only valid arguments I can see right now are: This year EGF is 2-0 against TRF and the other is that it's tough to beat a team three times in a season. It's gonna happen though. I agree this will be a physical, hard hitting game, but think that the outcome will rest on the two Goaltenders. Both Alex C. and Cole H. are capable of being "HOT" any given night, but are both equally as capable of being "NOT". Whichever tender brings there game will play again on thursday.ice is nice Posted: Mon Feb 26, 2007 10:33 am Post subject:

I would expect this one to be full of penaltys as it always seems to be between these two, but the team who can control themselfs and take advantage of the power play will win this one. I belive TRF has one of the better power play units in section 8a

My pick:
TRF - 6 (EN Goal)
EGF - 4
I'll be in the stands watchin' can't wait!
