8A Final-Warroad v TRF

Post by SB24 »

Well the game most predicted has come around. Who will win this one? TRF gave Warroad its only Section loss this year, but that was quite a while back. What are the predictions on this one?

How about....

Thief River Falls 3
Warroad 2 - 4 OT's, Michael B. with the game winner.

We will see on Thursday. Reading the board shows that the predictions made usually aren't any predictor of the game that will be played.

No predictions here, just the expectation of a great hockey game.

Good luck to both teams

After my prediction on the TRF v EGF game i'm not so sure i feel comfortable unleashing another bomb like that. I believe my prediction went something like EGF will get up big in the first and never look back...or something.
But, i guess without being too specific, how about this:

Warroad 2
TRF 1

Aaron Marvin scores the game winner in regulation.

Long before Vats was around.

It should be pretty good game. I take Warroad in this one 4-2 with an open netter.

TRF got throttled late in the season. Not going to sit well with the Prowlers. Payback is HE double hockey sticks and give TRf the edge 4-2 with an ON. First upset is in the books. The underdog will do it again.

Hopefully you're right. 2 Sect. Championships in a row for Da Prowlers would be nice for their program.

This should be a great contest. Neither team is as strong this season as they have been in the past few years. TRF certainly knows they can beat Warroad as they are 4-1 in the last five meetings. Back2back state tournament births would be an exciting achievement for T-Town.

This should be a very exciting hockey game to watch. If TRF plays as solid as they did tonight they should take this one and make it 2 years in a row.

so far i've been wrong in my predictions for the tourney but i feel it here

I vote Warroad here, Marvin is going to lead the Warriors to victory. Score is 2-1. Vannie plays an incredible game.

Warroad 2
TRF 1

Goals: Bottom-1 for trf
Marvin- 1 + ast. and Ravendahlen- 1 for war.

Warroad will start off scoring in the first period. Trf bring a goal soon after Warroads, and Warroad scores later in third for a thriller of a game.

it will be exciting to watch this game, warroad is the clear favorite, but thief river has a lot to prove....this team and everyone who has watched them play knows that they havent played up to their potential....if trf can come to play thursday like they did tonight than we are in for another section 8a treat. Neutral ice, loud fans, good bands, and one of the best rivalries of the north....couldnt ask for much more....

that being said....my prediction isnt the winner....this game goes either way...but i will say i think it is going to take more than 3 periods to determine a winner... trf got embarrassed on the big ice...smaller ice = different story.

after 3 its gonna be:
Warroad 1

I've been wrong at nearly every turn this postseason, so I think I'll sit this one out.

For the championship I'll just use the luxury of hindsight and second guess everything, then I'll align myself with whomever seemingly has momentum during the game.

Ah heck, no fun in that.

Great game last night against EGF for Thief River Falls, If they play with that same intensity and determination, they will be back at the X again this year! Im in Thief's corner for this game!

You may have to travel by snowmobile. That cut-a-cross is going to be a bit nippy thursday night.

This one will be a thriller to watch :!: :!: :!: IF..... both teams show up i really don't want to witness what i saw last night again. I'd like to see TRF make a return trip but i think it'll be tough to stop Warroad now.

I think that is the wrong angle to take on this game. If someone is going to use the revenge factor it would be Warroad after losing in 4ot's last year.
