east wont be playing 10 or 11 seniors next year, lets get real and be a little knowledgeable here. 1st ill say has rand ever had a team with 10 or 11 seniors? i will guess 6 seniors maybe 7 at the most next year.
Okay, fine, let's bring a little "knowledge" to the discussion here. :)

They had ten seniors on their last state championship team. Just to clear that up in case you were lacking some Hound Hockey history. Mike has had nine seniors on five different teams since 1990-91.

They had eight juniors this season. No idea which juniors on the JV team will move up, but I'm guessing at least two. I'll go out on a limb and say you'll see ten seniors on next year's roster. If the new transfer rule gets diluted or otherwise altered by the state legislature, all bets are off. Image

Thank you for clearing that up :) some ppl just dont know

Da Chicks deserve to play against Cloquet. Oh man, I can't believe I'm rooting for the Lumberjacks?! This almost causes me physical and psychic distress. Image

Ya me too Lee i want cloquet to be able to see what its like to play against some much bigger schools. I really dont think cloquet is not ready for state if they make it.....and if they do i think they will lose in first round..

I agree with dulutheastfan I dont think cloquet will be ready to go to state East plays the same teams everyyear and know them well cloquet does not play those bigger teams like Holy Angles, Moorhead, Cenntenial, and many other teams so if cloquet makes it to state i think they will lose in first rounds...great year for East

I personally enjoyed hearing about Colin Trachsels goal as I played in

the same tourney as his dad who was a great player in his day!

This was a great game and should be appreciated as such because it embodied the essence of the best in what Minnesota High School Boys Hockey is all about!

Thanks to both teams for the GREAT GAME !

rob probably wont even be there next year, lets call it a guess.
they will have solid core of players, but i cant stop thinking that next year will be a transition year. preparing for a few years from now. expecally after the low numbers this year.
Where would rob be going? Juniors? Is he drafted yet.

lets talk about this 'knoweldge'
lee, i am an east fan just about as much as this 'duluth east fan'(who might i add, has not made 1 real intellegent post that i have seen since i first saw him on the forums. ) i think its hilarious first off how you know this, second i dont get into highschool history quite like you. those "seniors" your talking about were pretty much all playing varsity by the time they got there, and were phenomenal.
your going out on a limb and saying 10? id call you foolish. does rand usually ever take juniors he has had on jv for two years before? give me one he has? correct me if im wrong but this years team, none, last years team, none, year before's team. none so i may not follow rand since his 'inauguration' nor idolize him like you seem to be doing but facts dont really lie. he wont have 10 seniors when the season ends next year. maybe 8. if he does take more, they will just be practice squad like we saw with butterworth this year.
and there is a differene between 11 and 9 seniors that two full developmental spots. so thanks for the knowledge that i didnt know but has he ever really kept 10 or 11? other than the last. but now that i think about it, 2 quit correct? so that would be 8 then or was that including those two so that would have been 12.
just to bring some knowledge in, information is all in the eye of the beholder.

but thanks for the hounds hockey history, i love my greyhounds.
im pretty sure you know who i am, but good try lee, and no disrespect obviously.

and his son is what? 7th grade 6th grade now? think he'll bring him up next year? plus the great B-1 and A teams coming up. and with the good 10th grade class he has right now.

Here is a list that were active in the 06-07 season for varsity. There are 4 more juniors that played on JV this year that may be moving up to the varsity next year so i count 14 senior hockey players next year Im positive that there will be at least 10 seniors on the team next year...

good goalie,
same boat as Rapids, Cloquet, and Elk River all graduating their goalies.
Heard the East Bantam A goalie could have played this year behind Leis,
he's suppose to to really good too.

No Cody and Matt played with varsity the whole year and neil the goalie was backing up Leis the whole year. this Ricky kid was in the nets for the JV year..
