Mg over Burnsville 3-2
Blue over EP Red 5-2 (i think)

Tomorrows games to go to state: MG vs Blue and Ep Red vs Burnsville

D3 VS D3 and D6 VS D6. Of course it would work out that way.

Cent Red over Stillwater
Chisago over Hermantown 6-2
Blaine over DE 1-0
WBL Black over Moose Lake 7-2
DE over WBL Black 2-1
Blaine over Moose Lake 5-0

Sub Region A:

Blaine 3-0
DE 2-1
WBL 1-2
Moose Lake 0-3

Sub Region B

Chisago 2-1
Cent Red 2-1
Hermantown 2-1
Stillwater 0-3

Tiebreaker goes to Chisago and Cent Red

DE vs Chisago (good offense faces good defense)
Blaine vs Cent Red (league rivals with similar looking teams)

Hermantown needed to stay within 3 vs Chisago to knock out Cent Red but it didn't happen. Blaine posts 3 shutout victories. Host Stillwater falls short in 3 close games.

Like the Bantam A side, all 3 D10 B1 teams make it to the finals.

EP Black is done!! The run lasted longer than it should have. Can not win with 2 kids, Still a good run. Rotten way to run a region, I hope it changes. Tomass, no problem with you disliking Red, I do not like them either, young guns who work hard and win. But tonight they went down hard- smoked by blue so the recipe might have been correct. Freddy relax, everyone can have there own opinions but I agree I would hate to be a kid on that chaska team. Being 13,14 and trying to please is tough enough without having to read about it. At least we will have 1 D6 team in State. Hope the young red gunners can pull it out but if I was a betting man the money goes on Bville! Good luck to both and represent D6 proud.

Good luck Ep red and Burnsville, too bad you both aren't in state. I agree, Tomaass you add a lot to this board it is much appreciated, but even though you may be right, a parent should try and stick with positive things. We know you were just trying to help but the actions of the coaches and parents on that team were almost disturbing. Country, not only do I not want to hear a father criticizing a team, I certainly do not want this board to turn into a "political forum". This is a hockey forum please keep it that way. To all, I have really enjoyed this board and reading the banter back and forth. It was fun to read and it shows your passion for the game.

Thanks

just to let everyone know, Freddy is logging off. He has ticked his last tock. The thing that pushed this stone age dude over the fence was the comment about black being a 2 man show. They had 2 very good players, but you don't pull off 8? wins in district the district 6 playoffs with 2 players. That a slap in the face to the rest of the team and every other team they beat. so.....so long....

The #1 and #2 seeds from D2 go a combined 1-5 vs D10 and D11 in the East regional. The #3 seed from D2 goes down to the south and wins their subregion to go to state.

Fishy business.

So what is the scouting report on Pequot Lakes?

Let me preface my comments below with the fact that the team my son is affiliated with is going to state. That being said, the Regional format used this year is a JOKE!!! Across all levels there were many teams that went 2-1 in pool play and did not get to play on Sunday, even though they beat some of the teams that did advance (EP Black and Hermantown are just 2 examples). Let the teams decide who advances to state by wins and losses, not some goofy point system. It's true what they say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". The double elimination format that has been used in the past in the metro area worked great, and I hope a lot of people let Minnesota Hockey know that, so that the chowder heads who decided to make the change, realize that and shelf the pool play format.
