Princeton and Sauk Rapids.

What is a championchip? Is it good with salsa? DM is far from the underdog. That still lies in SCC.

I highly doubt DM will score five goals. The only time SCC has given up five or more goals in a game this year was in the controversial 9-6 loss to Denfeld. Last weekend, I think they showed that that game was a fluke.

If either team scores more than three goals, I'll be shocked.

I highly doubt DM would have the b**** to move to 7AA-they want their cake and eat it too-go SCC!

I'm going with blanda on this one. The loss to denfeild was an odd game. Hess let in five goals. The back-up tender let in three and there was an empty net goal. SCC wins 4-2

No one is disputing that DM is the great and almighty team that its fans proclaim it it to be. However, in doing so, the DM fans alienate their team and disrespect other teams. SCC takes note of this. Don't underestimate the RESPECT isssue here, or lack of it for SCC. There's nothing better than having a chance to take down the top dog and get some respect in the process. See Point 7 of the Gut Feeling. It will play a factor for this game.

I think the important thing for everyone to remember is that the opinions of the fans do not reflect the opinions of the team. I think that this should be a hard fought game. Best of luck to both teams.

Exactly. I know SCC knows this will be a hard faught game. I would assume DM isn't looking past SCC like many fans. Afterall, SCC did beat DM earlier this year.

Do you think I would need to get there early to get tickets or will it not sell out?

It won't sell out. But the lines will be long. If you get there late, you'll be out the door while the first period is being played.

Gutsch for sure will be playing and Mausolf may be taking a few shifts on and off, its going to take a lot more then some aches and pains to keep these two off the ice! Good luck to both teams and i hope everyone stays safe.

I disagree, to an extent, with the poster who stated whoever wins this contest on Saturday will be the state champ. If DM wins, winner takes all. If SCC wins, the 2A showing at state will be short lived. DM will be on a mission if they get to state this year after losing a title last year that was theirs for the taking.

SCC would be on the same mission. They are hungry for the X and won't be just satisfied to get there. SCC would not want to disappoint which they did the last time at the X with their measly performance in '04.

MVP, true enough. Difference is DM was the favorite last year and is the favorite this year to take all. SCC was not and is not the favorite. Suppose that could work either way for SCC, but DM is still the deeper, more talented team and would be a stronger representative for 2A, IMO.

Well, if that's the case then it should be a foregone conclusion that DM will win today. If SCC wins, then how could it not be a strong representative for 2A after beating the #1 team in the world?

If you're the best, you'll win. One of these teams is the best.

SCC has a group of seniors that is much more focused than the seniors and juniors of the '04 team that went to state. Either one of these teams will represent 2A very well at the tourny.

Isn't that what was being posted about DD? Wasn't the Denfeld team supposed to just skate around SCC and Johnson was going to score at-will? Hmmm.. Final was 3-0, and where is that talented, super-fast high-scoring team today? Oh yeah, probably going to be at the DECC watching the AA GR v. Cloquet final.

Haha, mj79, I'm sorry on behalf of all SCC fans.

Denfeld does have better forwards than Marshall though, and SCC did not give them a sniff.

Can't wait.

I'll be at the Rapids vs. Cloquet game beforehand, that should be a doozy. As should this one.

Good luck to both teams can't wait to see the SCC fans or DM fans shut up post game. Everyone knows that either way my gums will keep flappin.

Denfeld better forwards than marshal? I think denfeld has like 2 or 3 good forwards while marshal has 5 or 6.
