Well, RLStars...I KNOW, and you KNOW, that Lars' won't be back next year as he is coaching the Lumberjacks Jr. B team in St. Cloud. I just don't know what kind of process they are going to go through to find a new coach...

I've heard things......

A rumor here and a rumor there. I've heard a name or two that are interested, but its third and fourth person stuff, nothing concrete or official. How about you?

The Junior B team may become a Junior A Tier III team. I think the MJHL may go Jr. A Tier III with the addition of three new teams to the league. One criteria for the designation of Tier III is the league has to have at least eight teams.

Well...I haven't heard of any names that are interested. For kids like Theis and Christen, they should probably transfer to a team like Cathedral in a hurry...that coaching job just isn't desirable as Apollo hockey will be hurting for a while. We may start seeing more 8th grade public schoolers transferring to Cathedral for reasons that aren't really academics or hockey...reasons I'll decline to get in to.

As an old Apollo grad, I'd love to hear.

that's too bad Park's coach is resigning when the senior class that actually had potential are graduating this year. But all in all, that's good news depending on who they get, now they might be able to keep the youth players from transferring to Hill, Cretin etc.

I heard the parents wanted to get rid of him, but now they dont want to even try cause he coached them to a Section 8AA title for the second year.... but really our team just has talent, I think he is a ok coach, but I really think all the assistant coaches really help out alot, like Billy Lund, etc. Is it true he doesnt skate with the team , cause he cant or just doesnt feel the need to??? This is all stuff I have heard, but I live in a small town so everybody knows everything around here, dont take it as concrete stuff, prob. just rumors or somthing.

I'd imagine that if there is a petition, this state tournament could hold the key to if they keep or cut the olive. His first few years at Roseau were sure inky.

I have heard some nasty stuff about Oliver. How he berates kids and will even get in the face of some parents if their kid isn't doing what HE wants. Even made threats to a mother when her kid decided to quit the team. SHame Shame. A state tournament berth does not mean you can be a difficult coach and get away with it.
