STA will win against orono and then beat marshall, and take it to hermantown winning the championship game 6 to 2

Warroad has the easiest road to state, St Thomas probably 2nd, with only 1 tough team to get there. We can't count them out, with much community/team experience there.

What is wrong with what he said? He is saying Warroad only had to play one tough game in sections. Isn't that true?

We have been through this already SB. Warroad handled Park after Park knocked off Crookston. Ok I will give you that. They beat TRF who beat EGF who beat LOW who beat Bagley. I think that we can agree that in most years, EGF, TRF, Crookston, even LOW are formidable teams. I am now adding Park to that list. That is all.

Yeah I think they played about 27 of them. They had to play well to get the #1 seed to get the matchups they did. Warroad won the section congratulations. I hope they win the state tournament. But quit acting like they are the only team in the whole section that is any good.

I've never said they were the only team in the section that was any good. All i am saying now, is that they only had to play one tough game in sections to go to state, and no, it wasn't the PR game.

Ok. If Warroad is so un-challenged in 8A maybe they should move to AA. Their schedule is mostly AA teams now anyway. It wouldn't hurt too many feelings around the section if Warroad wasn't a part of it.

Why don't we just go back to Tier I and Tier II then if all the good teams should go AA.

Not all of the good teams should go AA. Just the ones that don't want to play A during the regular season because they are too busy playing AA teams like Eastview and Orono. Why play them? They should have scheduled Park Rapids and DL once apiece. At least until DL moved out of the section.

Everyone thinks that LF will just lose, but i do remember they tied last time they met. Plus they even had a very fellas out, Ben and Lukie... Those 2 have helped jared and the rest of the boys to get were they are at... Sorry to say, but hermantown isnt going to make it past the first round :)

Wow, totally my bad. I meant like to the state final; since we are talking in a thread about who's going to win. Warroad plays Albert Lea first and, pending an upset, could have an easier second game too. Without the upset, they play 1 tough game to get to the title match. All I meant.

SB24, saying "Why don't we just go back to Tier I and Tier II then if all the good teams should go AA." I couldn't agree more. We have a class system which everyone treats like a tier system. How much better would the state tournament be if opting up wasn't allowed? Then there wouldn't be the "big dogs" tournament and "the other one that no one goes to". There would be two highly competitive tournaments that many would go to where schools were just based on size, not want or ability.

Sorry for the misinterpretation there. But i'm not convinced Warroad has an easy trip to the final. Wouldn't you think Hermantown would put up a pretty good fight? They are still undefeated.

I totally agree with you there. I am so sick of everyone saying that Warroad should move up or this team or that team. That wasn't the way the system was designed. That was what they tried out first, didn't work obviously. I think everyone would be happier if they enforced the enrollment cap and forced teams to play in their respective class. If they did that there would be absolutly no discussion that class A would be the lesser class, vice versa if anything. Think of all the private schools that would be Class A. A situation like that would probably generate more revenue for the league as well, in that both tournaments would be very well attended. And after all, money is what the league wants most right?

This is what I think will happen at state.
1. Hermantown
2. St. Thomas Academy
3. Duluth Marshall
4. Warroad
5. Orono
6. Little Falls
7. Blake
8. Albert Lea

Wow, SB24, where were you when I defended the class system all the other times? :?

I didn't mean they'd have an easy way, just the easiest. Big difference. What it boils down to is that their first game will be the easiest and they have a CHANCE at having a an easier 2nd game than other teams. That's all. Not trying to make any big revelations about the tournament.
