We should know....
Elk River took Centennial into overtime in the district finials...
Elk River took DE into two overtimes in a game that could have gone either way....if it did then we won't even be discussing East...
Relax and enjoy the season, it is why all the kids play... oh yea....hockey is also a great teacher of lifes lessons....
Just an FYI.... Brainered and GR you sound like a bunch of sore losers...
In our case, I hope Duluth East takes it all, then we (Elk River) can then say we took the State Champs into overtime - twice.....
I don't think these teams are sore losers - I just think that's it's hard for anyone to see a good season come to an end.
I don't think GR & Brainerd are sore losers. Not liking the format and voicing an opinion is all I saw going on. Because, as you know, this is an opinion forum. Perhaps you noticed people saying things like "good luck, and congratulations to those moving on". That doesn't seem like sore losers to me. Once again, congratulations to the winners of the regions, and good luck at state! See you all again at the high school level.Curt_mn wrote:Both Duluth East and Centennial are beatable....

I'd like you to show a guote on this thread where anyone from Brainerd claimed that got screwed in regions or were being "sore losers". What's done is done and we're all on the same team now....We want the North to take the Championship! Let's not resort to bashing the other Northern teams that didn't make it. Good luck to Bemidji and Roseau!

Well I guess that proves it.....it takes a winner to be a winner....
Brained can't win the big game...at Bantam or at High School....
How many times has Brainerd even gone to state or even won state???
They do have a good goalie but once you get to state there is too good of teams that just a good goalie is gonna win it for you. Teams know which goalie is good and will stop the pretty plays and just take shots shots shots and when you take 40 shots in one game regardless of where they are from some are bound to go in. Good luck Bemidji and all other teams. Play hardminnmoose5 wrote:Bemidji isnt a top 2 team they have one goalie that is probably one of the best in state and a few good players. I watched them a few times and most of the time they were in it because of their goalie. They are a good team but not top 2 in state

GR played Roseau in the 1990 finals at the state tourney. 11 d-1 players from that Rapids team, and I'm sure more than a few from Roseau.Chuck Norris Fan wrote:Elliot it was 1987 the last time Two northern teams made the finals. Grand Rapids Winner over Roseau.
And it has only happened 11 times in the 56 year history of the tourney. By the way 8 of those 11 times were before 1965..... so here is to hope
