AGAIN, little falls fans prove again they know NOTHING about hockey...

1) 2nd period a flyer player went in for a big hit, in front of LF student section, he made contact with the Hawk player. Problem is the Hawk player wasn't even thrown of his route...result....the whole LF student section bursted out with cheer.... :?: :?: :?:

2) Will LF fans PLEASE think of a chant OTHER then "Let's go Flyers let's go"..."Let's go Flyers let's go"..I heard that chant 10 times throughout the game, and they're was no other chants by the LF student section...Way to support your team Flyer fans!
Well, it seems to me that the H-town fans cheered on an open net goal too. I've never seen fans cheer so hard on an EASY goal. What's the difference if you cheer about a big hit or an open net goal. I think you could argue about something a little more important than the LF fans cheering over a hit and their cheers. I'm sorry that we don't have cheerleaders to tell us how to cheer. Maybe you should come to LF and teach us some new cheers so you don't have to hear the same cheer 10 times!!!!! Save your breath and find something important to talk about!

Honestly who cares how you cheer or what cheers you cheer? The fans come to yell and scream so who cares? The reason they cheered the empty net goal so much is because they knew they won then and the reason LF cheered the hit is because all of the LF fans were so excited they were sticking with Hermantown so well. Ripping the fan. How classy.

Just to say one thing about Hermantowns play, they didn't play good at all in the first two periods. And LF played just how they needed to, to be ahead. But i've watched Hermantown all year and I've seen them come from behind in the third period all year. I was impressed with LF forwards and I now respect them more then i did before. That was the first time i've seen them play all year and i knew they had some good players, but i didn't know they were that good. In the end though i think the better team won. And that's not a bias opinion.

all I can say is I hope the embarassment of going 2 and out will stick with the youngbucks of little falls and keeps them from jumping ship to wherever they may be thinking of going. Hopefully that top line will want to come back next year and really show what they can do.

The one thing i noticed last night about the LF goalie...is that he came out so far (probably cuz hes so small) that he got himself out of position. I mean i know coming out and cuttin down the angle is good...but he was out so far it looked like he was trying to be a defenseman...So thats my tip of the day to that young goalie. Dont get so far out, you dont skate backwards fast enough and your legs are too short. They can just skate around you and plus your always gliding so your never set for the shot i.e. the fourth goal

But good luck to Hermantown in the rest of the tourny

Their game against Albert Lea was an embarassment to watch. It looked as though they were still trying to wake up after having nightmares about Drew Leblanc last night.

Maybe, just maybe the LF team is nothing more than three guys on one line who can score an obscene amount of points against very weak teams. Perhaps their (Festler publicly in the paper) whining about not getting any respect has merit because they haven't done anything to really earn respect. This is a case (just like St. Cloud Cathedral) where they don't play enough tough teams during the season to be ready for the final run.

Kudos to LF for making the trny again. I think you'll see Hanowski and Festler move on next year as the older Hanowski is gone. (I think he's a senior, isn't he?) But time will tell.

Mite-dad wrote:It was a great game to watch. I think LF finally earned the respect they deserve. That said, I think they definitely need to schedule some tougher teams to play. When you coast through just about every third period of every game with a huge lead, you don't learn how to finish tough games. It was obvious that Hermantown was battle tested and capable of coming from behind. I think probably because of some very close games against excellent teams. I thought LF played with or better than Hermantown through most of the middle of the game, then they ran out of gas. Their top line was on the ice more than usual and just got worn out.

Good luck to Hermantown. And hopefully my Flyer boys will win the consolation round. Finally, hopefully Festler gives it one more year with LF. With some of these other underclassmen improving toward the end of the season, I think LF could advance further next year.
Well, What to say....? This game summed up, was at the game, great game to watch. Hermantown played the worst hockey I have seen them play all year the first two periods of that game, congrats to LF for playing your A game the first two... I was impressed with the first line for LF, they have talent! I feel you definitely deserved that hockey game based on the earlier performance, because I was sick to my stomach watching H-TOWN come this far and nearly lay an egg. However, I will honestly say that Hermantown played a more complete game in the third. Leblanc played well, even though he had an off night, hard for people to believe when he gets 5 points but it is the truth. I thought huttel played better, solid first goal. Little Falls first line is a force to be reckoned with. It all came down to goaltending, Hardy played well enough to win, which he is a very good goalie. LF, recruit a goalie! You WOULD have won that game and pulled off your glorious upset if you had a guy that didn't get scored on one handed from a terrible angle. As far as the outcome, I wasn't all that surprised. SOS showed in the third. LF had it... It was their for H-TOWN to lose, they just couldn't hold on. Personally, I also thought that 1st line was over played, got to tired. Congrats to Boblee, 6-3 prediction. As for you Mite-dad, nice previous post, however, you could have meet me at the main entance through the gates infront of the concession stand off to the left. I was wearing the shirt that said, theirs now way in heck I will have to buy you a beer at the X! 6-4 please... That was why it was so exciting to watch. :P Syd, same. In all seriousness though, I did think LF had a chance to pull it off before the game even started but not by scoring six goals. Better luck next year flyers, you got some respect from me, but primarily because of LF first lines capablities. Sorry LF had to go out 0-2, seeding truly was the enemy for you this year, congrats on a good season. Hermantown, better step it up because that two period performance is not going to cut it anymore, especially at the X! Goodluck in the rest of the tourny Hawks!

You must be a Little Fallsian. I heard that there were kids getting kicked out of the section championship game because of the whole siv thing and a few other cheers that aren't even that bad. What a joke. I bet everyone, players and fans got talked to about the Albert Lea game and how none of that was called for even though there were some questionable calls by the refs.

I can't agree with you more bad position and a horrible job at holding rebounds. Come on where's Whitlow!
