Grand Rapids has to be the favorite, but Burnsville looked damned good against the over-rated Bengals.

Burnsville - 2

Grand Rapids - 4 (EN)

I think this will be a close game, but White's line will be too much to handle (will score 3/4 goals). Hopefully GR will meet Roseau in the finals!

After watching them man-handle Edina tonight, I like Rapids too. They need to change their name back to the Indians though...what is a Thunderhawk?

I graduated a few years ago, but I never will claim myself as a "thunderchicken". Grand Rapids is and always will be the INDIANS, end of story.

Rapids should be able to take this one by at least 2 goals, only if Jensen shows up again. Tonight was the best game I've ever seen him play.

Guessing 5-3 GR over Burny

In the battle of the artists formally known as Native Americans....

Braves 3
Indians 2

Burnsville just seems to have the karma and I didn't like the way Grand Rapids ended the game, their tank seemed empty.

OK, so I thought that Burnsville would lose to Eagan, then I thought they had no chance against Holy Angels, and I thought they would be clobbered by Blaine. Those BRAVES just keep proving me wrong so this time I am going to say that Burnsville will win. Hopefully I will be right this time. They are one very lucky team to be able to win and still be down on shots. They make a lot of dumb mistakes that even a JV team should not make, yet they have been winning. At the game tonight I had this little thought that they could actually win the whole thing. That would be the first time since Coach O was there. The players are not even that good so I dont know how they have survived this long, but it would be cool to see them win two more. They would totally be the unexpected team to win it and it would be talked about for years to come.

All Burnsville's got is heart, and that isn't going to take them all the way. Rapids is gonna kill 'em, I say... 5-2

They didn't man-handle anyone, it was a close game. The score was 3-1. How many times did the guys just lay down and not block the shot because the Edina guy skated around it.

edinahornetz9, you have totally exposed your very weak hockey mind. The hornets were frustrated all night by a team that worked harder for 3 periods and is more skilled. You guys can change those "Kings of the State" shirts to, "We want to be Kings of Marriucci". Losers like you make games like last night so much sweeter. THE HORNETS ARE DEAD!!!

Back to the Semi-Final game:

Burnsville and Blaine did not play at the level of Grand Rapids last night, not even close. Very sloppy play. If Grand Rapids has energy, they'll win by atleast 4 goals. Nice run so far though by the Blaze, you guys have had a great season. You beat Holy Angels, so you can probably beat anyone on a given night, but the Blaze defense looked very vulnerable last night. Enjoy everyone!!!

Burnsville looked very sharp last night against a good blaine team i see them beating grand rapids in this one. from watching the edina-rapids game i thought it was pretty slow and the burnsville-blaine game was quicker and more physical. however, rapids does have an excellect goaltender, but i just cant believe that most thought edina was going to win this thing cause they stunk last night. but i see burnsville winning this one maybe by a goal or two. I like rapids, but i dont think have the defensmen to get the job done or are they physical enough to get the job done tonite.

Burnsville played a solid defensive game. they let Blaine shoot from the outside and never get set in front, they took the puck down sent it deep and made Blaine go from goal line to goal line for a scoring chance. They played 5on5 D like they were shorthanded, giving them the outside.

If I remember right last year GR came out full of fire the first 2 games and had nothing left in the tank for CDH. Hopefully they learned from last year and save something. This will be a good game but I see the Braves running out of luck this time. By luck I mean goals like the 3rd one last night.

Where was the awesome three lines of Edina last night in the first two periods? Until the last 6 minutes of the game they were "playin' too pretty". I'm thinking people like you are still in the mindset that they wore down Rapids in the third period and just needed more time. Right? Too bad they didn't play that way the whole game. Good luck at Mariucci!
