It is very hard to upset two teams in a row.

Actually because they come from 1AA it would always be considered an upset.

roseau-7
RC-2

if roseau actually sets up an offense instead of going for home run passes, and GOD FORBID, put a D-man in front of the net instead of letting RC get tap in goals, they can win EASILY

I think this game will depend on which team has more depth. I didn't get the chance to see RC play today, but does anyone know what they have for depth on their team??

Let me guess hm88, you haven't seen Century play all year right? No one on the team 'had the game of their lives' other the #7, they all played like they're capable of most of the year, no surprises here 8)

Century played well today, but they wouldn't have been able to do it without Faupel #7 he is a sophomore with lots of potential. That is the best game he has played this year, luckily it was at the right time. He does not do that every game. Roseau, after seeing them play today, is playing the best hockey in the tournament and I think they will simply overwhelm Century as long as they hit the ice running and don't let RC catch them by surprise like HM did. Roseau's agressive offensive system and intensity is just too much for Ewing. Even in the last minutes of their game vs Woodbury today, they were playing like it was a tie game. In my opinion they played with the most heart today, and showed they wanted it. On top of it all, Roseau's tender is playing very well right now, and confident going into the semi's.

You realize that Mike Lee has an 98+% save percentage right? I'm guessing, no matter how well Roch. plays they're not scoring 8. If Roch. wins it'll be 2 goals or less (2-1, 2-0, 1-0 etc).

I thought a couple of Panthers had their worst game of the season; Knutson and Wilcox to name a couple and still Century fought hard and won. The first two games featured text book examples of what happens when you don't backcheck or cover up out front. Woodbury's top line with #9 showed zero interest in playing defense and gave up at least 5 of Roseau's 7 goals. Roseau made some very pretty plays with their passing but when Woodbury continually loafed getting back and covering up they helped Roseau out a lot. H-M gave up 6 goals on 22 shots, Phillipi is overrated and after Faupel picked up his second goal I figured that H-M would put a body on him but they didn't and he ended up with 4 goals, add to that he missed a couple of point blank chances.

Century actually backchecks and Roseau plays solid out front and takes the body well. I bet it's a low scoring game with few shots....3-1 Roseau.

I agree unforutnately, but I think this is the year of the northern teams. I really have no one left to cheer for. What I came up with is I am hoping Roseau to take another state title, and throw in Moorhead's face what they should have done so many times in the last how many years.

Rochester winning may be bad for Roseau. They seem to overlook teams sometimes (ex. 1st period of Woodbury game/ 1st period of Warroad game on FSN, etc.) anyway, they tend to play to the level of their opponent initially and then try to win the game later. If they could come out flying right away it would be lights out RC. They are gonna need that explosive energy right away, use their depth and just keep hammering away.

Roseau- 5
Century- 1

(sorry Roch. fans, but they have a hot goalie and three line of offense that is on fire!!!)
