Awesome final. I'll be pulling for hermantown but I think Marshall will pull this game off and it'll be a nail-biter. Hermantown is a very talented team but Marshall is equally talented and they will be too much of a task to keep their undefeated streak alive.
4-3 Duluth Marshall
GO LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS & CONGRATS

By that criteria the Minnesota Twins aren't a team, nor are the Gopher's hockey team.forecheck wrote:GO HERMANTOWN! Marshall isn't a team, they snatch players from
all over the area each year to re build, Guzzo, Laskowski, Michela,
Mausolf, Bordsen etc. etc. Hermantown is a TEAM, they grew up together
from Mites, this is their year to beat Marshall and I hope they do!

Who is to say that DM isn't a team?forecheck wrote:This is HIGH SCHOOL NOT the pros....thankGeorge Blanda wrote:By that criteria the Minnesota Twins aren't a team, nor are the Gopher's hockey team.forecheck wrote:GO HERMANTOWN! Marshall isn't a team, they snatch players from

From www.dictionary.com...a team is...
1. a number of persons forming one of the sides in a game or contest: a football team.
2. a number of persons associated in some joint action: a team of advisers.
Didn't catch that they had to grow up together in that definition...sure, DM may use rent-a-players...but they want that championship just as much as Hermantown. The transfers didn't just go to play hockey...they went to win a state championship.

you mention all of those, they are a private school, none of them had the home rink of duluth marshall, they dont have a youth program. dano is from DE all those guys you mentioned, central would be much better with jessie, along with bobby, jack would be going to east, dodd, your arguement was pretty worthless, but either way... GO HAWKS!George Blanda wrote:Who is to say that DM isn't a team?forecheck wrote:This is HIGH SCHOOL NOT the pros....thankGeorge Blanda wrote: By that criteria the Minnesota Twins aren't a team, nor are the Gopher's hockey team.

I picked Hermantown at the beginning on seniorhighsports.com:
What are the ingredients for a state championship hockey team? A tight knit group of boys who have struggled together, overcome adversity, and just might even have a bit of talent up their sleeves to boot. Sound like anyone in the tourney this year? Hermantown has been flying all season and instead of lying down in the third period last night, they buried a couple of quick ones right off the bat and put the game out of reach. Look for them to roll over Warroad Friday afternoon. Go Hawks!
It got an A- grade so somebody must agree

Hermantown better show up for the 1st and 2nd period or it will be long afternoon. Duluth Marshall will not lay down in the 3rd like the Hawks other opponents. I have not seen anything from the Hawks to make me think otherwise. Good Luck to both teams and congrats for making it to the Championship

Fast fact, Hermantown has not beaten Duluth Marshall since the regular season in 2004 at Mars Lakeview Arena, 5-4 in OT. Both teams deserve to be where they are. Look for a close hard faught matchup to ensue. The only thing either of these teams have going for them is that they have played each other and are used to the high intensity rivalry that always takes place. That is why this one will not be a blow out in my opinion. Also both clubs are well coached and are very well diciplined organizations as well. Exciting either way that both schools have never won the title game since everything was changed to allow private schools to play with public schools. I have to go with the Hermantown Hawks however, they continue to prove that they play with anyone and beat them when everything is on the line. Just like the last Hawks win... and even though the scores might seem to be high relative to the previous meetings, and the goalies are very good. The 5-4 OT victory had DM's Paul and H-TOWN's Lindstrom in nets and those were two very good goaltenders. Behning and Hardy are no different excellent goalies with great explosive players in front of them. Look for superb showing.
Hermantown 5 (OT)
Duluth Marshall 4
This will be a great game, and certainly could go either way as well.
