This should shape up to be an excellent championship game, i dont see a repeat of the 2006 game happening this time.
Both teams have very skilled players and Grand Rapids has the definite size advantage(that Stejskal kid is absolutely amazing, thunderous hits)
However.......Roseau has such a rich tradition and these kids believe in themselves. I think they are gonna come out flying tomorrow and have rapids on their heels.
The 2007 Class AA State Championship will be........
The Rams of Roseau-2
The Thunderhawks of Grand Rapids-1

What a classic all north final!! I think Roseau will do with GR just what they did with Moorhead in the section final. They completely shut down Christian, and this time they'll shut down White. Both are highly skilled individuals, but Roseau is much stronger in the net, much deeper, and playing with so much confidence right now…they have too much finesse and too many weapons for one great player to overcome. Rapids has had a great postseason run, but I predict Roseau will take the birds to the woodshed in this one, 4-0 Rams!!

Would like to see a shut-out but don't think its gonna happen.
After hearing what Jensen did(how do you have the guts to do that, you gave up 3 goals in just over 2 minutes and that first one should of definitely been stopped-zero class on his part) i wouldn't mind seeing him give up 3, 4, or 5 early and putting Howe in net. He deserves it i think

I think this is the matchup a lot of hockey fans wanted to see. Personally I would have satisfied with Roseau playing GR or Edina. GR doesn't appear to have the same amount of depth Roseau has. Both goalies looked rattled late in their games yesterday. I think the team that can get to the opposing goalie first wins the championship.
Roseau beats the representative of Section 7 for their 7th title

That's true, however Jensen let in THREE and gave up the lead, Lee only ONE, and preserved the lead...big difference! I think the breakdown for Roseau was more in their defensive play than goaltending. They gave Century several unbelievable POINT BLANK scoring chances late in the third, but in the end Lee prevailed. I'm quite certain Roseau is well aware that they can't, at ANY point in the game, have a similar breakdown tonight.Wild4hockey wrote:"Both goalies looked rattled late in their games yesterday".

If "Runnin Bare" breaks down like he did yesterday Rapids won't have a chance...MNHockeyfan07 wrote:That's true, however Jensen let in THREE and gave up the lead, Lee only ONE, and preserved the lead...big difference!
